Just got (4) new Falken P275/60R20 tires for a total of $342.52 out the door.
Discount tire gave me a great pro-rated deal because of the fast wear on my Kumhos. Discount stands behind their products. I will post up on how the Falkens wear. BTW, Discount Tire told me they quit selling Kumhos because of the poor tread wear customers were experiencing.

They are the Falken ZIEX S/TZ05. Rated wear is 50K. I can't post up pics yet, they ordered them Monday, will be in tomorrow or Friday but I can then. BTW the reviews are very good on this tire and they are $139 EA normal price at Discount.

Well Mr. Detroiter, stay away from Kumho. That's pretty clear!....lol Wow, I stil get shocked by 12k wearing out. Obviously I could understand if it never left a gravel road always hooked to a trailer but that damn. I had an LSD with a trailer and Goodyears that lasted 50K so it isn't that much of an effect.

Okay, Mr. Detroiter here.... the OP.

I have decided on the Michelin LTX AT2. They were ordered and should be here today or Monday.

I appreciate everybody's posts. I will come back and post again once I have the tires mounted. I will post some pics too. My goal is to come back at regular mileage intervals and give my opinion on the tires.

So, yep. I made a choice on tires but only time and experience will tell if I made the right choice.

We just got a little more snow here in MI last night - and it would have been nice to have my new tires on. But, I am sure we will have more snow, rain, slush, and ice in the coming months too.

I drive a bunch so it shouldn't take long for me to run up some mileage and see how these tires do. I will be back to update the thread regarding my experience with the Michelin LTX AT2 on my Dodge Ram 1500 Crewcab 4x4.

Have a good weekend!

Good choice. Can't go wrong with any of the LTX line of tires.

have fun lol
I think the reason they are saying they have great towing control is because most of those tires used to have an E-load rating. Now a lot of the newer one's are just standard load, including the stock Ram tire size, so it will NOT have the same towing control. E load tires on a light dity truck also ride very rough and are super stiff going down the road. They are not comfortable in cold weather at all. Just something to consider.
My Cooper LTZ's with an XL rating had very good response just like the movie. Stiff in cold weather and some bumpyness on the road but not as bad as if they were E-load. I do not expect the same control out of the AT3's that I did just purchase which have a standard 115 load rating. I will let you know though.

The Falken Ziex S/TZ05 is 115/H. Is that better or worse? I don't fully understand load ratings - H is supposed to be good for 2670lbs load and the 115 is for a 130MPH rating, is that correct? How does that compare to the Cooper LTz's? Just curious, just bought a set of the Falkens at $136 EA, thanks.
