Just checked mine and there is some definite wear. Had the truck about 2 weeks and have about 300 miles on it (light-colored heated/ventilated leather). It's not wrinkled like in Blue's pics, but there's 2 definite spots where the leather balloons out. I'm 6'0" 170lbs.

I also notice a small bump on both front seats behind where your right cheek rests. Strange. Never felt it while sitting though.

I know it may be insulation related to the heated seats, but I'm just now noticing how 'noisy' the seats are when you sit down on them. It sounds like stuffed newspaper in there. Never had seats that had any sort of sound to them...

There is a plastic mesh on the back of the ventilated seat cover.
Sandwiched between is a foam backing. It a porous foam. Mine makes a crumpling noise when I sit on it too.
Mine is still in the shop. Part they ordered was bad too. Orderd another, maybe tomorrow.
Have not seen what the seat cover sits on...next time I will look! Left it with them this time..again.
I started taking my wallet out before sitting. Nuts! but hoped it would help. It still failed but did not have the really worn area where my wallet pressed in....like the first time.
Same seat cover, nothing new. Here is the backside of the seat cover.
I am 6'-0" 175lbs. We had the torso weight distribution earlier here. My glutieus maximus rest completly on the preforated part of the seat cover..

Drove my Dodge Ram 1500 with the newly installed heated and cooled ventilated seat cover.
Supposed to have gotten an all new design seat cover but as we all now know.
The only thing special about my new seat cover is it went through a quality control test in Mexico.
Drove it 21 miles from the dealership to my house without my wallet in my pants pocket.
New seat cover has a wave in it now...21 miles.

Blue can you post some photos of what you've got after 21 miles. Please and thank you.

The wear is minimal. Only sat on it for 45 minutes or so....traffic. Got home 3:30pm
These pictures I just took 9:30pm.
Hard to see but the wave of stretched material is there.
Truck has been sitting around 6 hours. The seat recovered some. More visible in person.
I will be taking it back to the dealership for another replacement soon.
Driving 9 hours Tuesday. Will need a new cover after that unless I do something..like a seat cover...that I should not have to worry with.
Anyone know any excellent interior shops. I live in North Florida. Seriously!
I will have it fixed and try to recoup my money later. I am tired of this wasting my time getting it replaced, and not fixed.
Going after Chrysler or claiming lemon law seems pointless at the moment.

Well Blue, I think your point of view about these seats was right all along. I just think it's the leather they use that's all. Shame that's all. Now, I'm sure you've thought of this but let me just put it out there and may be someone can give us some insight. What about Leather Conditioners or Leather treatment products that might shrink the leather some? This is probably not as good of an option then just replacing the leather all together BUT just a thought.

I think those seats are optional, just get the non-heated seats if the Laramie is what you want. There is a big difference in looks between the two.

Mine is a Sport.
I noticed a white plastic peice hanging under the front of my seat. Seems the installer did not clip it on well.
Pulled back the seat cover enough to see underneath since it was already loose. See what I might could do?
Looked; then clipped that plastic peice; that was hanging; on as it should have been. Did not stretch the cover out any...wavey still there.

That crinkling noise is the pad under the seat cover. I only saw all small part of it.

Have you ever taken the soft cover off an electric heating pad...I may be talking old school here.
That white, black or whatever color heating pad; inside the soft cotton pad cover; crinkles like paper. Same thing under the heated seats.

From what I have seen and built on line there are 5 different seat covers. All available on each truck...I think.
I did not order mine, got what was out there to be had.
