Just steer clear of the leather seats in the Sport. You can get the cloth leather trimmed seats (standard in the sport), they are fine.

Good thing you didn't spring for the cooled seats! If mine were ever that juiced up I'd slide out of the seat into the floorboard the first time I hit the brakes! LOL

I like the looks of that interior all greased up but there's no way I could do that to mine, I'd be sliding all over the place like hop said

This problem must not be on the early built trucks since i have yet to notice any problem with my seats. By the way I have 13,000 miles on the truck.

buckmann can you post pictures of your seats now? I am sure people would be interested to see how they look after that many miles.

I'm going back to a GM product - much better of a quality truck in my opinon.
(I know I'm gonna get flamed for that comment).

It's ok, we all make mistakes....

Ok, that out of the way, there are trade-offs you make with any vehicle choice.

1. A GM truck would have cost me more.
2. The GM 1/2 tons were all less powerful (when I was buying - now I believe they offer the 6.2L more readily?)
3. IMO, I don't care for the GM styling. Those fender flares make it look like they're trying too hard and the interior is just too bland... that large bare dash kills me.
4. The options between trucks now are pretty damn similar though, so you can get them equipped very similarly.

But the main reason I can't get a GM truck is that there are too many 2wd Chevy trucks with cheap lift kits around here.... they just scream LAME!

Like this guy at the post office who has a large camo sticker on the back window that says "Hillbilly" and then he has camo "Z71 4x4" stickers on his 2wd Silverado....

Yeah, I didn't see those seats as an option when I was buying and I most definitely wanted cooled seats. In TX, that is a requirement almost. Now if the cloth/leather combo came with the cooled option....

I have no seat issues on my truck and I have over 17,000 miles. Maybe I'll take some pictures later and post. I feel very lucky.

I'm not wild about the Chevy styling, but I do like the GMC's, they look a little more sophisticated. I do agree the base dash is very bland and very utilitarian looking, but the the higher end Chevy LTZ and GMC SLT have a very nice looking interior.
