Complaints about your 4th gen?
i love mine! i am still getting used to the crewcab's length(i came from a reg cab 99) i had my check engine light come on yesterday but i got it taken care of. the rapid response for the temp sensor fixed it. the light came on because the remote start was aborted due to a system fault. the fault was that the truck thought it was 115 degrees outside so it thought the engine was already warmed up.
i do agree that the 1-2 shift sucks but for stoplight dragging i just use the autostick and start in 2nd.

overall i love my truck. Ride is awesome, power is awesome, lots of great options, Nav is awesome, sirius traffic is awesome.
Minor annoyances are below:
It should have come stock with a side step. My 2 year old needs a rope and some carabiners to repel out of the truck on her own. Time to order some nerf bars.
The MDS annoys me. I wish I had an option to just turn it off and take the MPG hit. It is noticeable when it turns off and you get a slight delay in power during the transition from 4 to 8 cylinders.
SIRIUS reception is poor compared to the XM reception I get in my Denali. Sirius cuts out under every bridge even at highway speeds whereas my XM never did unless I was stopped directly under the bridge. Also, the sound quality from the Sirius is "tinny" and not very good at all.
That's it.

My 4 year old takes some time to get in even with steps. My preggo wifey needed the steps really bad though.
The Sirius reception issue is a Sirius problem not Dodge problem. My wife's BMW has Sirius and I thought it was her car that had Sirius reception problems, but now that I've got the Ram, it appears that XM is far superior to Sirius (even though they both have the same owner), where reception is concerned. They both offer about 150 station and 130 of them still play crap.

My center console made all sorts of sqeaking and clicking sounds (type of plastic used, probabaly a polycarb) but after a couple of warm days, it went away completely. The center console and center dash should have been made with better materials. It is nice but not as "stiff" as other vehicles.
The beer can, Im sorry, aluminum hood is nice but very delicate. Wish it was made out of stronger material. We had a very minor hail storm a few weeks back (Central TX) and I have a few small dents now only on the hood. My other Dodge truck (03 1500) was parked right next to the new one and had zero dents after the storm.
