Default changed exhaust again

My first muffler was the Magnaflo 24" was too loud in the cabmy second muffler was a Gibson, sounded great but when you floor it you would here a whooshing sound. So today I went to Mufflex and he installed a 24" x 12 Magnaflo from 3'' to dual 2 1/2'' swept side with ss tips and I must admit it sounds great and alot less noise in the cab. If I only new how to post pictures and sound.

You do realize the mufflex is a managflow and that a 24 is the quietest of the managaflows. What did you get this time? 14 or 18?

He used the 24'' can but by 12'' wide vs 8'' wide. It's more of an oval muffler vs round.

So the first one you had wasn't the one Mufflex offers?

yes it was a 24'' magnaflo or mufflex but the diameter of the muffler was smaller and too loud for me in the cab. The Gibson was great but it made a weird sound when floored. The magnaflo or mufflex is 24'' by 12'' diameter. Quieter in the cab and if I am cruising but loud once I floor it.

I'm surprised the 24" was too loud. I have the 18" and cruising speeds and normal driving you barely notice it, it has a deeper tone than the stock muffler. Only time I do hear the muffler is when MDS kicks in or I floor it.

Hello there from Germany,
i also thinking about to put a mufflex or a complete Magnaflow catback in my Truck but I cant find a miffler with 24 length and 12 Diameter on Magnaflows Page, the biggest will be the 22X11" like the one from the Catback system, the 24´s are all 24x8" Did anyone knows what mufflex uses for there 24" ?
Did anyone of you have a complete catback from magnaflow or Mopar?

I had mine installed from mufflex. He ordered the largest one which went from single 3'' to 2- 2 1/2 '' swept side. I noticed a little less take off power but mid range and top end it pulls stronger than before.
