40 pounds off my gut since Jan 4th.

Items hurting.... Nerf bars. Added about 65 pounds.

I may put my stock filter back in and get another base line for the CAI.
I think 6.7 here is like 5.6ish at sea level. Fortunately, everyone else is on the same playing field here. It is my understanding that our altitude is why they only offer 85, 87, and 91 octanes. Something about needing less octane at thinner air density? If so, that may be why my 93 tune is happy on the 91 juice. I think there is one place in Colorado Springs I can get 93 and, if so, I will get bolder with my advance settings. The K&N drop in was a noticeable improvement on the seatopants dyno for me as is just taking out the filter. They wanted $600 to put true duals on my truck and that is when I decided to get the Superchips instead, it was by far a bigger bang for the buck. I am VERY happy with the tuner. Does your RCSB feel held back right off the line, mine sure does.

These 0-60 times, while worthwhile to do, are meaningless to anyone else without a before/after comparison.

One tester ran a beat of 14.07 with the T&D feature. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2019870-post89.html His runs in stock were higher.

The tuning is definitely going to give you gains and the feedback in the thread has been pretty good so far.

That is TM. They said we will have more control over that shortly.

How do you launch?

1. Apply brake
2. Put RPMs between 2 and 3K (depending on road temp/conditions)
3. Release brake and put the hammer down.

On my 6.11 run the hammer was just a split second to slow. When I did it I thought to myself chit, this run will be worse than the first.... Guess I was wrong. I was rushing as I had traffic about 1/4 mile behind me. Driving home from work today I found it easy to brake the rear tires taking off, but again, keep in mind the road temps here right now are cold.

I think 5.6 is a little un-realistic with a 4x4 with these mods. Not much, just a little.

Again, for others looking at a SC. You will love the way it shifts, even without the yet to come tranny controls.

I love the way it shifts too. It has that double clutching sound like you hear in Bullitt when Mcqueen was shifting his mustang. Never knew they could make an automatic shift like that.

The Cortex 2 year powertrain warranty covers vehicles worldwide as long as they have less than 100K on the ODO.

hi guys,

couple of questions....what is the 2 year warranty on the cortex vs. the 3865? why do i need that vs. just the 3865?

secondly, how come i cannot spin the tires on my truck - a 2009 ram 1500 w/390hp? anyway to fix/adjust this?

thanks.

one other thing guys - i am very new to the mods game....just got the truck and put an air raid cai on it and a flowmaster 40 muffler....and was told to get a tuner/chip to make it all work best. i have been doing some reading and think the superchips is where i am heading, hence my previous question on the cortex v. 3865. i'll likely buy soon and assuming i do, can i install this thing as easy as you all make it out to be? do i have to go online and download something when the chip is new out of the box or do i connect straight to the truck?

lastly, i have no idea about rpm settings, fuel octane levels etc...what do you all suggest....i just want it to go faster and spin the tires from a stand still!
