what is the best advanced tuning program for the 09 5.7L hemi for performance? RPM shift points (rev limit) 1-2 gear, 3-4 gear? Fan adjustment? Im running the 91 octane program adjusted with 22" rims (26"ish height with tires). I have a CAI and magnaFlow exhaust and didnt see anywhereto enter that. (may just compensate manually. Thanks-Jay

couple questions.

right now i have all of the "tunes" avail. (87, 91,93 etc)
mds disable
revlimit adj.
speedo adj.
wot adj. between 1-2 shift
wot adj between 2-3 shift.
tire size adj.
rear end adj.
4x4 diff. adj

im assuming the later options are only used if you actually change the gears in your rear end or front differential?

quick question. what is "safe" rev limit for our trucks. i want to say it said stock was 5800 and it would adjust up to 6800.

so for now i moved my rev limit to 5900 and set the 1-2 start shift point at 5850, same for 2-3 shift. is that about right?

oh, on the 91 tune. (only because i had to mix with a tank of 89, i will be going to 93 next fill up) you can def. feel the extra hp!!!! next i just need to get that CAI!!!!
6800 is to high I think. Next time I jump on it I will let you know.

Are any of you guys using the 185 degree thermostat and if not what is your opinion of do or don't use it? Just asking because people have different opinions..some say you need to and some don't. I heard that your truck would perform better on a 93 octane tune with the 185...but I'm not sure if that's true.

Just plug it into the truck now and follow the prompts. If for some reason your truck isn't included in the updates, it will let you know and you will have to email Superchips. It seems that many trucks are now already in their system. I was expecting to have some issues when I got mine last week, but everything went just as planned. And yes, mine has the hole in it as well.

Man twist the knife !......LOL
When I get mine in finally it will be worth the wait.

anyone know what the stock valve train is good for on this motor?

on the superchips forum they recommended 6400rev limitr

1-2 wot 6100
2-3 wot 6200

not that im out beating the snot outa this thing all the time, i just want to keep my levels somewhat safe..

also, how do you use it as a "lap timer" and diag. tool. just plug it in once the truck is already running?

+1 on wanting an answer to the questions above.

Mine apparently got delivered today. It's sitting on my desk in the office, I've just been stuck out at a client all day.....

Hopefully yours will plug in and gop, mine did not recognize the truck, so it had to be sent back in, and a few of us have been waiting for the update e-mail.

A buddy of mine swung by and picked it up for me. I installed it on my computer last night and then it updated and worked right away on the truck. I have an early build '09, so seems like someone has already provided them with my config file. I set the 87 tune (b/c of the gas in there), adjusted the tire size, and raised the rev limiter to 5900 and 1-2 to 5750 and 2-3 to 5700. I figure that's conservative, but I have a full tank of 87 and I want to see if I can notice anything before trying 93 or tow.

That is what sucks mine is an early build too, so I thought all would be good, I called today and was told it "should " be today. Not blaming Superchips, but I have had this thing total for 2 weeks now . shipping problems, computer input problems, then combiner down problems.

ok,i finally went through my tank of 89. so i switched over to the 93 tune. adjusted my rev to 6300 (max 6400)

wot shifts 1-2.2-3 just below max allowable setting.

all i can say is wow!! i cant beleive a NA motor, 4x4 quad cab, 6000lb truck can pull like this. on the street this thing can def. hang with "slower" fast cars......
