Ok, filled my truck up once again! It took 81 liters & logged 242 kilometers on the odometer. If my calculations are correct, I am getting 8.4 miles per canadian gallon, & for my American friends out there, that computes to a staggering 7 miles per US gallon!!!!!!!! I hope I am calcuating wrong, if not, I can't afford to run this pig of a truck, this is pathetic!!!

I'm going to assume you would notice if your Odometer got set to Miles instead of Kilometers. Assuming that is true then I would take your truck into the dealer and have it looked at. 7MPG is not normal

D-Man in another thread you stated you are running the Goodyear Duratrac's. Hammer made the comment about them having a very soft sidewall and this affecting mpg's. Has the drop in mileage been since you put these tires on? If so I am keeping my BFG's and running away from the Duratrac's.

I really wish you were calculating it wrong but I got the same results when I used your numbers. I'm going to throw out a bunch of questions to see if wee can figure this out. I get 15 around town with my 4.7 RCSB 4x4

What octane do you run? What air pressure is in your tires? Are your wheels well aligned? Have you tried gas from another station? Have you checked your air filter to see if mice made a nest in there? Are you in 4 wheel drive all the time? Have you tried another dealer?

I hope one of these questions will give you an idea. Your mileage is about half of what I get. There has to be something wrong.

I'd check that as well in the evic setup.
81L is 21.39 gallons.
And if that 242 was miles it would be 389.46 km.

So 242 mile/ 21.39 gal= 11.31 mpg.

And if your running bigger tires your MPG will show less because the speedo and odometer will be off.

Check the EVIC under Setup.
Display Units of Measure In The EVIC, odometer, and navigation system (if
equipped) can be changed between English and Metric units of measure. To make your selection, press and release the SELECT button until ENGLISH or METRIC appears.

I only drive about 2 miles to work so it never really warms up and I'm averaging about 15.2 overall. I do put some highway miles on it but not a lot. Had it about a year and have about 4200 miles on it.

I wish it was "242 MILES" instead of 242 kilometers, but oooh no, 242 Kilometers it was my friend!! So unfortunately it still stands at 7 mpg.

I put the tires on as soon as I got the truck so I couldn't tell you if there was any difference there, however, is it possible the tires can make that huge amount of a difference? I can't really see that as I have 20" wheels which have considerably less sidewall than say a 17" wheel.
