TAKE IT BACK , SOMETHGING IS WRONG .
I took it to my local dealer & they said, "that is just the way it is"!!
I bought this truck because I had an awesome 15 years with my last ram. If I can't get this thing fixed, it will unfortunately be my last!

What octane do you run? What air pressure is in your tires? Are your wheels well aligned? Have you tried gas from another station? Have you checked your air filter to see if mice made a nest in there? Are you in 4 wheel drive all the time? Have you tried another dealer?

I hope one of these questions will give you an idea. Your mileage is about half of what I get. There has to be something wrong.
87 octane, 40-42 psi, tires were balanced + had an alignment, gas from different stations(no difference), hadn't checked for mice (LOL), not in 4x4 & would have to travel to see another dealer but that is a option I am going to have to try next.

yeah, I'd say the 20s help with the sidewall flex. The tires are fairly aggressive but not crazy. You'd lose some MPGs for sure but I'm talking 2-3 mpg tops if they are anywhere close to stock size. At 7.5 mpgs there is clearly an issue or you have to have about the poorest driving habits imaginable...

Another option would be to try and get ahold of Chrysler Canada, tell them what is going on and what your dealer is saying. I'd want to make sure that you get the issue documented.

Hard to believe that there is a mode that the engine could run in which would get that kind of milage unloaded.

Hard to imagine that as closely monitored these systems are that a check engine light etc.would not be on.

Poor driving habits, I think not! When I first got the truck I will admit I did not have the best driving habits being a new truck & all,( gotta admire the Hemi power) but in the last few months I have done everything short of getting out of the truck & push starting it from the stop lights!!
Oh well, guess I best just suck it up because I can't afford another new truck. Looks like I will be snowmobiling to work lots this winter!!! lol

It would have to be burning pretty rich I would think to be using twice the fuel you should. Any black smoke like unburned carbon coming out the exhaust?

Do you have a remote start? How long do you let it warm up before driving? How far is a typical trip from home/work?

That was my next question.
By any chance do you hit start and not notice it running in the driveway? LOL
I knew a blonde once that left her car running in the drive because the battery was low. It ran out of gas and sh didn't know why. She wasn't driving it so how could it use gas?
