OH MY GOD. You guys are gonna love this.
I'm going to post the whole conversation in a minute.
"Your transfer case is working as intended, you must rock the truck back and forth in order to engage 4H"

First off... The grinding is not normal and like I said before, I have thrown mine in 4Hi at 65mph before and it's silky smooth.
4Lo may need the 'rocking" before engagement, but certainly not 4Hi. You can hear the audible clunk once 4Hi engages in your video. THAT is normal when not in motion.
2nd, You DO NOT have to bring your truck back to the place you bought it for warranty work. You need to report them to Chrysler canada and saying they tried to deny you warranty work. They wont take that lightly. Any place that sells Dodge vehicles MUST take your vehicle in for allowable warranty work!
I think you may actually have a problem elsewhere's. Like in your Speedsensor(ABS) or a different sensor because that is how the t-case works. It's grinding almost as if one wheel isnt reporting the correct speed or the actual 4wd actuator isn't fully engaging the front differential gear within the t-case!
If it were mechanical, I'd say you would need a linkage adjustment, but it's all electronic. I wonder if the dealer re-used all your original sensors off the original T-case?????
Wouldnt that be something, a $40 sensor caused all this expense and headache!

"I'll begin with my statement first. Nathan at this time, we do feel that that transfer case is operating as designed."
"Your vehicle is ready to be picked up, it is performing as designed as per our standards"
"Can you kindly return the loaner vehicle to oxford dodge"

Oh, and it looks like the dealership replaced a gear inside the transfer case that was showing abnormal wear, and changed the oil. So transfer case is back to "NEW" but it grinds and BANGS like a ****, but that's normal and working as intended.
OFF TO MEXICO!
OFF TO MEXICO!
I also asked him what the new procedure is to engage 4h, since the manual is supposedly wrong. He said "if your stopped, you need to rock the truck back and forth, or move it forward a fraction of an inch so it engages, then accelerate." I then told his to research the video, which shows the truck moving forward 2 whole feet before me accelerating. I told him, and showed him his new procedure doesn't work. He then said "we'll, just follow the manuals procedure then". Umm... What? The manual just says to engage and go?
Lol. I could write these stories for hours. It's so comical!!
