Got it Off the Lot (Fresh from Factory Order because of RamBox) and immediately went On-the-Road for Break-In and 1st Road-Trip - Phoenix<->SW Colo. "Climbing the Rim" ended up part of the Break-In (6500ft alt change incl two 2500ft/7% "Vertical Grunts" that saw 12-14MPG mostly in 4th gear - '03 Dakota 4.7L was always taking this in 2nd near Red Line - gotta love Hemi). With 32 Gal it is almost exactly one tank each way. Saw 23+MPG once/twice while cruising 65-70 out on "the Plateau" - slight rolling 2-lane smooth asphalt. Noticed that MDS doesn't like to kick-in on the rougher "abused/rutted" asphalt that runs thru Navajoland - even using cruise @67mph.

Engine................................. Hemi
Highway percent................... 50
City percent......................... 50
Location.............................. Dallas,Texas
Octane................................ 93
Hand or computer calc........... Hand (computer not accurate)
Miles on truck....................... 3045
Hand MPG............................ 14.0 mpg
Mods................................... Replaced muffler with a Magnaflow, have a cold air intake and throttle body spacer that I have not installed yet, so only exhaust.

From what I know of this Hemi, we all need to do this test after about 10,000 miles. None of these trucks have enough milage to be broken in so milage is going to fluxuate. Mine has been from the mid 13's to 15. Getting no where near what I had hoped. Once i get a good baseline with the muffler change I am going to add in the air cleaner, baseline for a few months and then try the spacer. If I can get 16 average mixed and 18-20 on the Highway I will be happy.

My saving grace is two motorcycles to ride when money gets tight of fuel goes up.

Mileage has been pretty bad considering i drive mostly highway. I live 1 mile from the freeway, thats pretty much the city driving I do. The computer is always off, I would not trust it. For those that do, try it by hand one day and you'll be unpleasantly surprised

I've averaged in the 13s since I got the truck 2300 miles ago. I calculate it by hand after every fill up. Great truck! Horrible MPG.

I realize that the computer is off but mine is showing 24.0 MPG No A/C , straight highway, no stops, no hard turns, I am pleased as all get out, I can tell how much it uses, by size of the tank is the same as my old dodge ,and how many times I have to put gas in it, going to and from work everyday, for a week.I have video of it ,and still pictures of the rpms, amd mph and oil pressure all working ....showing 23.8 / 24.0 this morning

Year: 09
Model: 1500 Regular Cab short bed 4x4 3.92s on 20s
Engine: 5.7 Hemi
Highway percent: 30
City Percent: 70
Location: NW Ohio
Octane: 89
Hand or COmputer calc: Computer/Hand
Miles on truck: 1000
MPG: 16.6/15.6
Mods: Soft tonneau (did nothing) and 75% of the way through the tank Mufflex.

Once again, the computer reads high as it does for most. In this case 1 MPG and I ran the tank to the point of needing 24 gallons. Maybe it would be closer if I ran it 25 gallons? I will give that a try another time. Driving habbits on this tank, all accelleration under 3K RPM with the exception of a couple WOT.
