46re converter locking up in drive and reverse sometimes
i had a chance to do a little more, found that the 3-4 accumulator valve was broken and was inside its self. and the end plate where the spring is aginst has a big groove wore in the plate, with that spring broke what would that have done, and do i need to replace that end plate? also do i have to remove the valve body to install the new lock up spring and boost valve spring retainer?
i got this kit https://www.ebay.com/itm/Solenoid-Service-Upgrade-Kit-42RE-44RE-46RE-47RE-48RE-1993-97-OEM-21487-/123656689665?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.S EED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160811114145%26meid%3D09bb7 2be333c4258a58e50c1479c20b9%26pid%3D100667%26rk%3D 5%26rkt%3D8%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D322874874577%26itm %3D123656689665%26pg%3 D2045573&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=NFXEJ3 z0%252BLOQ3b3HJq2X9g5yiJw%253D&orig_cvip=true&nord t=true&rt=nc not sure where the small spring goes...i thought it replaced the spring where the retainer goes but it slips over the piston valve, unless you use it with the other spring
I seem to remember reading somewhere that there was a spring on one of the accumulator pistons that liked to break, but, it wasn't absolutely necessary, and at one point, dodge simply didn't install it....... Or something to that effect. maybe in Monte C's thread???
thanks, iam wanting to get this back togeather and if it will help its the only thing left in the kit....they are calling it a lock up spring upgrade...it must be called something else i cant seem to find it....i did find this
