I've got an 05 caravan and the power lock on the driver's side sliding door quit working. it still works manually, but that's it. any suggestions?

On the inside latch assembly there is an electronic module that quit working. I've replaced my right sliding door unit once already and it's gone again. The kids pulled on the handle at the same time that I unlocked it.

Do you have to change the whole mechanism or just the solenoid?

Is it easy to replace?

Our driver's side sliding door power lock died around 75K miles. Since all the other locks would open/close, went to the junk yard and luckily found a a good power lock.

You need to remove the sliding door inside trim panel, etc. to get to the lock. It is fairly straight forward in you are used to removing door panels and fixing things inside.

Default Don't buy a whole new module! Just buy a new motor

You can buy the little motor inside the module for about $6 and it will work perfectly again! I just did this on my van, same symptom, same door, works perfect now! Saved over $80 on the part. Here's one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Mabuchi-FC-280-M...item4cef5f467b

Our passenger door has the same problem -- I'll be interested in your experience and pictures...
