I have a 2010 Caravan and my head lights will not come on. When I turn the switch they flick/cycle on and off 4-5 times ( with a couples of seconds betweens flicks ) and then stay off. Has anyone had this problem before and how was it fixxed? I look forward to your responses.

 

I found one issue and the guy said he found a short in the headlamp circuit. I guess you'd have to have someone check and see if there are any related codes in the system and go from there.

Thanks for the responses. It was not a short and it would appear to be the " module "...... only a $900 part........ I have an appointment at the dealer on Monday

Yes, it was the TIPM.............. $1258.00............. ouch!........... no warranty as I have 150k on my 2010............

 

Yup, ouch! You may have saved a few hundred on the part by going the Ebay route at around $700 but then you'd have to have the dealer install and program it so you're back up around $1000. Unfortunately, that thing is much more than a fuse box, making it an expensive little gem.

Prior to 2001 it really was just a fuse box. Then they started consolidating the functions and circuitry of other boxes into it making it the expensive box it is today. Isn't progress grand?

 

No, in this case progress is over a grand ($1258).

 

I talk to the recall center they said the reason why the company has no done a recall is because they have not got enough people calling so here their number please call them 1=800=313=1747
