Now that Volant has developed a CAI, he's missed the boat, hasn't he?
That thing is a joke. It's a stock airbox.... without the resonator. You can do that a whole lot cheaper.
Slinging stones? This is an easy one to decide. Can you get one overnighted when you order? Does it install with ease? Does it give you a measurable power/performance increase?

I have a stock intake on mine, so I am not pushing any brand.

Which one wins?

Well, in reading the thread, if you must have one, get the Volag. Doesn't sound like the other one is worth the trouble. Even if it cut .5 off your 1/4 mi. time, the trouble wouldn't be worth it. Seems that the only guy the Anderson fella will talk to is Phantom. What if he stops talking to Phantom too? Unless he is Phantom of course...

[8D] Phantom sure seems to be taking an unnatural interest in Mr. Anderson's product. I appreciate him giving a full legal name. As if that would carry any weight if he is in fact Mr. Anderson. This thread is better than TV.

I have a stock Magnum, I'm interested in a better performing intake. The one I put on my wife's Suburban seems to have helped. I'm getting about 1.3 MPG better. At first glance Mr. Anderson's product seems to be a good thing. I for one however and IMHO the hassles of getting one out of him in a timely manner far out weigh any other factor especially with the now available products from much more responible supplier/manufactures.

I think I'll be looking into K&N's

Let's see, spoke to Ty again, and and as far as I know all of them have been shipped, and only one has not becuase he can't get in contact with him.

You guys seem to be the type that go to restruants just to harass the waiter. So I'm walking away from this, and I really don't care. I'm sure there are any plenty of people who know, understand, and appriciate this kind of project. Rereading this thread makes me glad traded the car in. The truck guys seem more sensible. Anytime you get a 46 year old starting fights in threads, then finishes it with "Damn Kids!!" you should realize that they are too many people just looking to slam something on this board. He would never say anything other than he seems to think that it's a waste of money. So don't buy it. You weren't the target customer. I (and Ty by extension) want the guy that wants to hit 12's and 13's sooner rather than later.

Anyhow, have fun, your car has lots of problems, that's why I traded it in.

So don't call me, I'll call you.

Funny,
It was you who contacted me, starting your missive with,
"Thanks, jerk"

Dont remember any where in any thread where I insulted you in any fashion.

You seem to be the kind of person who takes serious offense when someone fails to agree %100 with whatever you say, and kiss you fanny for being such a smart fella...

You did correctly point out how imature you are...that might be the only truely accurate thing you have posted so far!

Have read this entire thread, and still cant find the part where "Damn kids" is mentioned...so we can see that you are very good at fabricating things, at least word wise.

As for us calling you, dont hold your breath, wouldnt waste the 35 cents...

Wait a minute!

Yeah, please, hold your breath, for as long as you can!

Oh, and dont know how to break this to you, but at some point in time, you too, will be 46, and I truly hope you grow up some between now and then.

If not, and we are lucky, by then you will be driving a Buick.

[8D]I will really miss his irrational ranting. He's no Dennis Miller but he does put a smile on my face. FYI I'm almost 44 and I truely love this car. I almost feel good looking when people come up to me at gas stations to talk about my Magnum. You know you have something when the wife of your poker buddy tells you she like you car, but I digress.

Back in the world of CAIs, with gas prices in California poised to hit $3.00 a gallon in just a few weeks and me with a 45 mile commute one way I need better gas mileage. Is it possible that a new intake will give me 1 or 2 mile per gallon more mileage? What else will help?

Given the soon to be price of gas the cost differantial make ever $300 reasonable.

Thanks
