RE: it's here
Just got off the phone with Dodge Customer Assistance. (1-800-992-1997), and they told me my 2006 was shipped two days ago. They also confirmed that the 7/70 drive train warranty is dropped for the ’06 model year. It is now 3/36.

I have an appointment with my dealer on Monday, to renegotiate the price of the car. If they don’t give me a break I will cancel the deal.

I have always kept my cars for at least ten years. Not what today’s young buyers are doing, trading them off in 3 or four years.

i can see two quick differences for the '06 magnums. the rt emblem is now R/T and the hemi that was on the front fenders is now slightly bigger and just the four letters H E M I, no more rectangle block with the word on it.

Bob,

You can't quit now, you have waited too long......

This is on the Dodge web site right now, according to this, the drivetrain still has 7/70, unless the site has not been modified...I paid an extra grand or so to get the bumper to bumper 7/70.

Bob,

If they cut the warranty, you can always buy an extended warranty from an outside source.

Don't cancel your order, you waited too long to get the RT.

Good luck, I hope you are able to come to an agreement. I am not happy about the warranty change either, but what's the difference really worth, a couple hundred? I was going to get a Chrysler extended warranty anyway (I don't trust the third party warranties).

RE: it's here
as i was removing all emblems and molding, i noticed the side molding is also different on the '06s.
it is thinner and stops before the front fender. only the hemi emblem is on the front fender and in-line with the door molding. i should say, was in-line before i removed everything. here's a look at the new '06 emblems.

I like those!

If your '06 has the Conv. Group II do you have the auto headlights? How about the aux audio jack and tire pressure warning light?
