1994 Van needs motor
Hello,
This is my first post, so thanks in advance. So I acquired a 1994 Dodge Van with a 318. The engine is toast, it threw a rod and the block is dusted. I’ve located a running 318 that was pulled out of a wrecked 2002 Dodge Ram truck. I did some research and I’ve found that the long blocks are the same part number at Autozone. I did notice however the starters are a different part number. I’m not very familiar with Mopars, so I was looking for some advice as to whether I can use the 2002 engine in the van and what are the major differences between the two. Will it bolt right up to the transmission?
Looking for some advice and guidance, thanks!

In the 2nd gen ram section, there is a stickied thread "Be all, End all Plenum Thread." Or something like that. More information than you ever wanted.
You will need the passenger side exhaust manifold from your original engine as well, as the newer ones don't have the provision for the EGR tube.

I hope to get this van back on the road soon, I’ve got quite a few things on the to do list, the poor thing was sitting in a field totally exposed to the elements for about 10 years down here in San Antonio, TX. But it was once an awesome machine. It’s got the high topper, and that’s the only reason why I’m putting any effort into this project. Thanks again!
