Ok KN 1 360 0

Hey Dodgegirl I saw on another post by Vader I belive that his 5.9 with a 360 had a 7hp increase. Granted I have the 4.7 and I dont know what exhaust system he has either but, how do you think the KN compares to this? I am leaning towards KN anyways, I currently have a drop in. Thanks for the help!

I do not actually know what K&N tests at... but I put my K&NFiltercharger System on before I did the exhuast or headers or anything I have now... and at that point, it only had a Mopar PCM. When I installed the K&N I immediately felt a differance, and I got better gas mileage. I would say it is very close to 7 hp as well.

After I got an exhuast and headers... even better! LOL!

I got Ceramic Edelbrock Headers... I have a Mopar Performance Cat Back Exhaust, which I love, but I want something not to stock looking. LOL!

i bought the k&n filter for my 4.7. 2k3 ram and a small noticable difference, bought a tube intake for my truck from ebay for like 45 bucks and it had like a imatation k,n filter and it made the world of difference, it forcefed the air into the motor and pick up hp, but i believe the stock ecm, retards the intake, thats why that baffle box sits before the throtle, so the air hesitates a bit before going into the motor kinda like swirls into the black box then goes into the throttle as for the tube intake it just fed straight into the throttle, so i cut the tube inhalf and put the round filter half into the little black box on the motor and made the best of bothworlds, i think airaid intakes look exactly like what im talking about, ask u local dealer if they have any aftermarket air intakes and copy that .

So you just replaced the filter though...? When you usedthe K&N?You didn't put a full CAI on it until you got the one off eBay?

Just ordered the K&N kit (plus MSD 8.5 wires) today and plan to dyno both the K&N vs. stock intake setups (both with the 8.5's). I will post my results soon.
