Which would be the Faster Car?
Just curious which of the three would you guys think would be the fastest of the three. (Im looking for the faster all around vehicle, not fastest production car)
Here are some facts on the subject.
First the import
3.8 0-60
207 top speed
Unknown quarter
Obtained at http://www.caranddriver.com/previews...ren-page2.html
Now the Chevy
I found lots of info on the C6R, which is a race inspired car, not a street car, therefore there were no 0-60, 1/4 and top speeds as it is a race car. I also found rumors of a street version, but no performance numbers and it is not in production. So my question is how can you compare a race car to production cars??
Last the Dodge
2.25 0-60 (on street tires)
Top speed not listed
9.75 1/4 (on street tires)

There is also another flaw in your poll here, the Hennessey Viper is a aftermarket add on. Therefore it is not considered a stock/factory car like the Mercedes and find it hard, or unfair if you will, to compare against any production stock car.
Therefore, since the Viper is a aftermarket car and the C6R is not a street car the Mercedes wins by default.

The Hennessey Viper is an overkill add-on....and quite frankly....is almost impossible to drive as a daily driver because of it. The C6 Z06 is a streetable car, but the C6-R is strictly a track version. 94rt10ohio hit it on the nose....the McLaren by default wins....
Not to mention, the Hennessey is twin turbo.....the C6-R I believe is N/A and around 700hp....and the SLR McLaren is a single S/C with like 550-600hp...and both are almost as fast as the Viper....pretty sad really.
Hennessey srt10 coupe wins ofcoarse, with a top speed of 255mph.

Sorry about that I was trying see how the fastest of the fast compared and your cant really disagree that those are the fastest of the cars. I guess it is slightly unevenly matched due to the SLR being a production car but still I wasnt comparing them based soley on being a production car or not. Also I have heard rumors that the C6-R is going to be a production car soon so thats why it was added instead of the reg C6-R.

The Hennessey Twin Turbo Viper runs 1000hp.....there are maybe a half dozen street cars produced that push that kind of power.....and your comparing apples to oranges. If we were comparing say the Sledgehammer Corvette to the Hennessey Viper....then you'd have a better comparison.

As for "The Fastest Car" you have to go by what it is out of the factory, and a street legal car. Reason being anyone can build a fast car out of anything. My favorite thing to say is I could build a Chevette that could roast a Viper, Z06, GT whatever. Does it make the Chevy Chevette the fastest car? Nope.

FYI - Lingenfelter set a world record for fastest N/A all motor car in a Dodge Viper....something like 900hp....
I'm avoiding reading all comments... and just saying this...
Simply put, the 2005 Hennessey Viper is the faster car... don't argue it, you cant....
