The LC1/OT1/XD16 setup. And yes I know I would need to buy the DSP first and load the tune before I paid that guy a visit, and yes he is a MOPAR freak that does alot of LX cars and 6.1 chargers, etc and is one of few listed in Canada for Diablo.
It was just a thought...and yes... I already understand that Marty at KRC is the go too when one gets to the custom tune requirement stage.

Hey, My latest Cam choice stands at "Crazy Spartan with a 114 LSA" What do ya think Guys. I read it works great with the SC..but did the guy have an 03???

you dont ever actually HAVE to get the datalogging stuff, it just helps Marty nail the tune. I have yet to send him any datalogs and the truck runs great, so that stuff is kind of just a luxury. If you go with the Diablo trinity like weedahoe, all you need is the LC1 ($100) and you've got everything that the DSP, LC1, OT1, and XD16 has in one little package

I think you'll be happy with that cam. To be honest, you might be just as good going with Stu from Inertia since its his cam. when I called around shopping, Stu suggested that one for me. I didnt go with it because it didnt have anywhere near the low end grunt that I wanted. But yeah, stu might be the better choice on tuners since it's his cam.

I was just over at the SC thread pouting since we don't get the Trans update. The only thing to do is to put different gears in but then does that not shoot my towing in the dirt ?

AF, Was thinking about the Trinity option. Thanks for info/comments.
Cank, IMO having 456 gears will improve you for towing and a new TQ (not more than 2600 stall) and a Sharadon Valve body would make you forget about the SC Tranny stuff, just a thought.

Hey guys don't forget we can do the TMR mod and they can't. made a swap with ODJ for his DSP. That'll be interesting for me to setup. I'm just learning how to use the AI. Anytime I have more than one button that needs pushing I go into a melt down....

Note: I like the AI gage. I used it to data log times yesterday. It is a little more combersome than the SC3865 to use as you have to run through the menu for each run, but isn't hard to use.

I was thinking of Maybe trading too, but how will the other guy get the downloads and vice versa. What I mean is do you have to give him your SC password for the site?? as I thought it cost 100 bucks to register a used unit. I think Old Dirty was looking to trade his DSp for an SC 3865.

What you do is return you truck back to stock settings with the Superchips. Once the truck is returned to stock tune, the superchips become "vin unlocked" and is able to be used on any vehicle capable of using the tuner. The only time someone has to pay $100 is if that person obtains a tuner that is still "vin locked" to another truck already. The $100 fee returns the tuner to factory settings and is able to be used again. As long as you return the truck to stock (which you will HAVE to do anyways if you are trading tuners), the superchips will be unlocked and available for use without any fees other than the added cost ($40) of additional features like the trans options. The other guy will make a superchips account that he will use. Your account stays with you, not the tuner.

Yep, That's how it works....
As long as the tuner is unlocked it is good to go.

Cank, IMHO, it is a personal decision with what you are doing with your truck. We don't get the benefit of trans tuning and our trucks aren't getting any further upgrade support. So if the canned tunes we already have aren't doing it for you, than it's time to move on. Just my thoughts.....
