the Nighthawk is a limited production t/a with reverse cowl inducdion hood-not like the ws6 "ram air" hood, it comes with a i belive a LS6 and has upgraded throttlebody/exhaust /bigger injectors. ive only seen two in my life. one was a automatic the other was twin turbo. they are all blacked out and it says NIGHTHAWK in blue where the WS6 would be. its sort of like the Firehawk but with a LS verion of the LT, faster than the run of the mill ws6. i belive only some dealers carried the opiton. sort of like a yenko deal. the guy i talked to with the automatic said he ran a 12.8 when it was stock. like i said ive only seen 2 the hood looks like a 03-04 cobra hood only with 6 reverse hood scoops.

Well, I joined after reading this post. Don't worry, I won't always be in here...I don't own a dodge. I did just want to clear up somethings for you guys.
I own a 2000 Camaro SS.
Couple clear ups:
Our cars are limited to 155 (through the PCM).
I have had mine removed and hit 173 and had a little room to go. How do I know I was going that fast? Because the state trooper that clocked me said so...
the other thing is the camaro DOES NOT loes speed in 6th gear...regardless of how fast you are going...thats just nonsense and backed by "guessing" on whoever said thats part.
I have minor bolt ons and I have clocked 12.56 in the quarter mile with street tires
I did not come in here to bash any of you or your cars..nor to start a "mines better than yours" arguement. I liek SRT-4's, I am just trying to help you guys by stating facts for you
Keep racing you guys! Have fun.
If any of you live near Green Bay, give me a yell.

On street tires? What gear ratio? Thanks.
Sure...Currently I have 3:42's with "true" lock Auburn Differential...with Bfgoodrich KDW's. These are 285/40ZR17's.
I have longtubes 3" all the way back with Bolra exhaust, 25% underdrive pulleys, 30# injectors, SLP LID with K&N Filter, hurst 6 speed, completely retuned and upgraded PCM. With these mods I was dyno'd at 364 RWHP and I am still running quite rich, so I could probably squeeze close to 370 out of it with a little better tune.
Hope this helps you guys out. I don't know about you guys but it always helps to get honest truths about what the other guys are packing.

FnfastSS, thanks for coming to this forum and giving us facts. I would like to add one more thing that should be taken into consideration. 1/4 miles cars set there cars up (gearing) to reach close to top rpm by the end of the 1/4 mile. There setup is not concerned with how fast it will go but how quickly it will reach the trap lights at the end of the 1/4 mile.
I dyno'd at 429 RWHP on my '02 Kenne Bell Mustang GT. Full KB intake (inlet) pieces with 90mm Meter, 75mm TB, O/R X-pipe, Borla CB...and 4:10 gears. That's why I was asking about your gears, because the 4:10's hurt my top-end MPH.

Wow...thats a lot of horsies ME, Maybe once I get a H/C package..but no where near that now haha
As far as coming on board and giving my 2 cents..not a problem. Again, I wouldn't come on board to trash talk...I think all cars can be made fast regardless of cylinders and I have a lot of respect for the SRT-4. Definetly the baddest of bad when it comes to 4 cylinders thats for sure. A great car for people who even liked the camaros in my opinion..fast car for the price...extremely fast for the price actually.
So if you guys ever want honesty when it comes to the LS1 camaros, I will give you my knowledge. I have owned 3 and have ran more than my share at the track and on the street and I am extremely knowledagble when it comes to the mechanical portion too. So...thanks for the welcoming and I look forward to helping in anyway I can
