Hello to all the SRT-4 owners... I'm in the process of trying to sell my truck, and will be getting a new SRT-4.

So of course I've been looking around online at the different forums etc seeing whats going on. One thing I've noticed, it seems like SRT-4 owners get a lot of hate. So I just wanted to check with actual owners if thats true, or if it just looks that way on the internet.

Basically I just want know if in the real world driving down the street, at the track etc if theres so much hate like there is online. I've always been a V8 and a Dodge guy, and I think the SRT-4 is awesome for many reasons but this is the only thing that makes me question getting one.

 

I'm not an owner Andy, but if there is any 'hate' toward SRT-4 owners, then it's about jealousy and being upset that their car lost to a compact...that's Fwd.

Seriously, if we get any hatred, it's because in some of the forum sites, *some* of the SRT guys might be a little zealous in their automotive prowess. For the most part though, we are just warm, lovable people who like listening to music by Outkast.

Buy the car. You will love it!

 

Theres hate regardless of what you own. People hate on every make, model and brand out there. You buy a car because you LOVE the car, because when your in it, you feel like its a part of you. You get that rush. You buy a car because YOU want it, not because of what someone else will say when they see you driving it. You do what you want to that car, because YOU want to, not because your going by what other people say. Its all about YOU, your money, and YOUR car.

The car is a ****load of fun to drive, let them hate. Don't let other people's opinions sway you from buying a car that you love.

 

Now why do people bag on us?
1) lil's first sentance pretty much sums it up.
2) there jelous...
3) a lot of srt owners this is there first fast car they have owned so they act like its the fastest thing ever and get super cocky and bring hate to them
4) this kinda goes in with #3 but its a cheep fast car so a lot of young people own them that arnt mature and act a fool and bring hate that way.

bottom line if this is a reason for you not to get a car then buy a minivan. but then ill bag on you for that so wait there is no way around it.

 

yeah...............hahahaha hate....i love being hated on because of my car, shows them when they take it to the line! i mean all i can say is that if you want more bang for the buck then get it. if you want to spend 8g's on a car to make it as fast as an srt and you spent 24'gs just to get it. Do the math! c'mon its a nice car......dont worry it wont bite.

 

yeah its to all the other make owners that loved beating neons with their swaps and tuner know how or lack there of. THen dodge stepped it up in horsepower and speed now the y hate losing to a neon and apparently all the other car cos cant stand losing out their edge because of it. so now they are following to compete...like say the honda civic just got a lot more horsepower then previous models as well as chebby with their sc slobalts, and now for 06 mazda speeds mazda 6 comes out with a turbo AWD, then there are all these new cars coming for 06 that get a boost in HP...not to mention the EVO in the future is apparantly getting the dodge muscle 2.4turbo slapped in it, why (rumored)??? I dunno perhaps its b/c they are bitchin kick *** motors made for tuning enough to be reliable at the same time under the proper experience. Go ahead and be hated w/ a grin on your face, you have nothing to prove. You got the best HP for the dollar and they cant help to be brand biased built on a 15 year street racing hype. Envy is the word, I envy all SRT drivers b/c I dont have one... But I do own a neon r/t which is great in its own way...enjoy your purchase and take care of it.

If u really want the car get it, i sold my f-350 PSD for one and was very happy with the power the 2.4L gave. only thing that i was unhappy with was the quality in the car, thats why i went STi. if u dont care about that stuff get the car. the power will not let u down. and hey for what i paid extra on my car for stock, u can get up grades and run me in the ground. hate comes because its a neon and pep dont see it as anything else. who cares what others think... Pep hated my stroker cause it would leave black smoke, they hated my SRT-4 cause it was a neon, they hated my SVT cobra cause it was a V8 with a super, and they hate my Sti. but then u find a forum like this one that has pep that love the same thing u do and can help with any problem, its the cycle of life.

Ill tell u this the look on peps face when u do pull them is priceless, even when i get pulled u kinda just have to put ur head down, cause hey a neon just pulled u....

 

seen plenty of "hate" towards my car as well... two cars shows (one being the Detroit based Woodward Dream Cruise)... plenty of forum hate (svtperformance just loves our little skittles... HA!)...

oh well... i bought the car, they didn't... and I like it...
