They, like dusty said, have their own dyno results with both the AEM and the K & N Typhoon CAI's. I myself have the K & N Typhoon CAI and am quite happy with it.[sm=smiley2.gif]

Okidoki this weekend I am going to get the swiss army knife out and try to install an oil can on the goat. I am curious to why Dodge didn’t place one on in the first place….or maybe that 69 cents was not approved by the bean counters at H.Q. in Deusseldorf ?

Thanks again for the tips guys.

P.s. RR I used to race a 71 RR like yours, I had a clone 426 Max wedge engine in it. The car was a lot of fun but continous tunning problems made it challenging.

I asked that same question and my dealer said "It's a tuner's car, it's made to be modded."

Not the answer I expected, but not totally untrue, I guess....[sm=smiley5.gif]

Dusty,
I see what he means but if that was 100% truith then the very eager dealers would surely have offered it as one of the many options (like doors!) for $$$$$. However I do beleive that it could be an after sight issue, this can happen to the best, after all didnt Nasa final realise that the Shuttle should have more duct tape on board than do-hickies for exeriments on bovine psychology in free gravity?

Well, nobody gets everything perfect, but the PVO guys/gals came close. Most all turbos do the same thing (blow oil), so maybe this just shows that Mopar/SRT-4 owners are smarter and care for their cars better!!!![sm=smiley20.gif]

You must have had the dual 4 bbl set up then on a cross ram intake manifold. Multiple carburator set ups are quite a tuning experience, I here that it's far more of a pain on the 6 bbl 3 X 2 set up. I had thought about going 6 bbl, but it's too expensive and too difficult to keep in tune. Do you have any pics of the '71 Roadrunner you use to race?

Your right the two Carters that were supposidly a matched pair should have had velcro on the bottom versus the bolts, I had those puppies in and out so many times! Siince it was a clone I had to build my own linkages and air filtration (I took that off at the track) which worked very well.
I had a 1/2 fuel line with a regulator however I could tell much difference between 3 psi or wide open!. I tried to keep the car as original as possible from the inside (apart from the safety harness. I do have pictures but I have to dig deep to find them! When I do I will scan and post. Back onto the SRT, how well does the aftermarket front anti sway (stifner) bar work that is mounted above the engine between the shock posts? While cornering with the SRT I have noticed it has a very slight sway motion.

Regards,
Napoli

The front STB I have (MPx) works quite well and is a snap to install. www.modernperformance.com has the best price for one that I've seen, less than $40....

Thanks Dusty,
I am making a long (wish!) list right now of some minor mods that I would be doing to my little goat over the next few months. Yesterday she turned the 1000 mile marker on her little wheels! Looking at her business hat last night I thought it would be nice to have made her snout (hood insert) functional for transcending air down to the turbo? i.e. like a static air graber etc. The air filter would have to have been much wider off course to allow adequate air volume...hmmm maybe a future project... I still get a big kick out her sudden torque when the Turbo kicks in on third! Now thats what Mopar means!
