i dont know about all of that...unless youre at a very fast track, or it was one of the Earnhart or Henry Edition 425hp cars.....a WS6 or SS off the showroom floor stock, with a manual and a good driver should run what? 13.40s and a new GTO (05) runs about the same with a manual, as rated by C&D...i havent seen a Manual GTO at the track...but ive seen an auto, and it ran high 13s/low 14s... and ive seen plenty of WS6s and SS's run mid to high 13s depending on the driver....and while ive seen PLENTY of them scream into the low 12s/high 11s...that seems a bit fast...and 12.52@ 110? i run 12.60s @ 106 max...with good traction...is he/she still having traction issues?
I'm the guy with the SS sidewayz was talking about. Stock LS1 f-bodys have been known to hit low 13's on a regular basis, do they all do it? No, but there are a bunch that do. As for my traction it was fine, I had a 1.86 60' what you need to realize is that the 6 spd LS1's have a terrible 2.66 first gear, that and those engines have a great top end. Oh yea and please don't think I am just another knuckle dragging LS1 driver, my heart will always belong to mopar. Heres a shot of one of my old Mopars.

thats a link to an LS1 forum....not a link to a mopar.....what is the dif ratio on your SS? and is it an 01?

1.86, really isnt very good...i run 12.60s with 1.69-1.71 avg...im just surprised that your 60' is that slow...like i said, i dont doubt that it is possible, but you must be one hell of a driver to turn those times/low 13s stock...
im not down with modern V8 lingo..what is a "lid"? a hood or induction?

Did you click the link? I use the site to host a pic, whats that matter? As for the dif. it is a 3.42 which is stock, and yes my car is an 01. I know that my 60' is really nothing to brag about, but with the stock 10 bolt in my car I have to be carefull, I need to drive this car every day and can't afford a broken rear right now. A lid is part of the induction system on an LS1, the stock air lids are very restricive, an aftermarket lid is the first thing most LS1 people do.

Much better. I was relieved to see it wasn't a Camaro.

That black thing up front is a lid. It's nothing but a cover for the filter basically, just a less restricted one.

Your car an auto? Your trap speed seems pretty low for a mid 12 pass, unless your stall is eating up your mph.

That's what is going on. Small cube smallblock with small valve heads, but considering the total combo it does well.

Hey I'm just back from the track after watching test-ntune and midnight mayhem.
I saw a few Neons, 1 went 13.89 @ 103, but most others had n/t or no time on the window so they wouldn't show it.
The one I saw bogged off the line so I figure it was on a low 13 or high twelve pass from the mph.
I wish I could have taken my car out but I didn't get off work until 7:30 so it was after 8:30 by the time I got out there.
The LS1 or rather F-body club runs alot out here and most stock ones run mid to high 13's although there are a couple in the 12's and one in the 11's.
I saw a new Mustang with some kind of louvre package (Mach 1?) but it ran a low 16, lot's of bad drivers at M/M.
Well the race is tomorrow and I have to figure out how to short shift the car to run 12.0's in street class so I don't get DQ'd for going under 12's. I drove the car to work today and it was a blast! Even got to pick on one of those turbo japanese cars at lunch, I think it was a Mitsubishi evo or something! Later
