Started plenum gasket, water pump, timing chain, and kegger mod today. Went pretty good. Picked up a new coolant sensor and oil pressure tonight. I'm putting a new radiator also.

Replace the distributor cap and rotor while the intake is out of the way. It just doesn't get any easier.

I couldn't remove the center divider because of the EGR. I just left the manifold stock, shortened the bolts, and put it back together with felpro gaskets. Got the timing chain off but tore the oil pan gasket. Hope I can get the pan out without lifting the engine.

The cap and rotor are almost new. Yes, sure would be easy right now. I did put a new BWD oil pressure sensor on. Not crazy about BWD but it was the only one I could get.

I was able to drop the pan on my 2500 with no problems. Mine sits a bit higher than the half-ton fellers though.... but still and all, I would expect you can pull it without jacking anything up.

I got the pan off without raising the engine.

I'm finally done taking things apart. I'm going to get new battery cables made yet. I got the block heater in and the oil pan painted. The block heater said RR at 6 o'clock but would have hit the bottom of the block. It felt the most open at 2 o'clock so that's where I installed it.

So far it has a new timing chain, block heater, water pump, oil pressure sender, coolant temp sensor, and gaskets. It will also get an oil change, belt, lower radiator hose, thermostat, radiator, power steering hose, and battery cables. Maybe a new O2 sensor also and clean or replace IAC.
