Wire brush cleaned the IAC and straightened up the engine bay with zip-ties.

Kida a dubble post but oh well.

Made a small modification to the winch mount. At the front I chopped and angled the front. I was going to make a front skid plate to angle it down but this seemed easier. This was the thickest metal I welded with my welder. It did great for the thicker metal.

I tried to get my truck inspected and it failed miserably... oh, and it was already a rigged inspection by someone who was willing to overlook everthing but 2 problems... the EGR valve is not hooked up and the cat is not there. Apparently the rules got stricter since last year.

Have done it before, but didnt have the pics you guys asked for.

Its deffinately working, but still pulls it no problem. Needs to be out of overdrive on the highway in the hills though.
****ty cell pic, but its all I got. about 1800# of trailer and 400-500# per sled (4)

I replaced the sagging headliner and cleaned the seatbelts. Headliners: Very easy to get out, very difficult to get back in. What a pain.

I spent the weekend dropping the engine back into my 88 dak and did leaf springs and tb’s on the 02 dak. Had to go back to work today to have a day off.

Pulled my Buddy's z71 out of the mud. Funny story to go with it. So I get a call at 7:30 this evening... my buddy's brother got his truck stuck back in the woods at Harris Lake. My buddy was out with his girlfriend at the time, so he was a bit surprised to get that call. But here is what happened... their cousin and her boyfriend were in a late '80s JAGUAR!!!! back in the woods and big surprise, got it stuck in some mud. So my buddy's brother went to try and pull the jag out of the mud with my buddy's truck and got it stuck. So I left my house at 8 this evening and picked my buddy up and we drove out there. Driving my truck through the exact same place the z71 got stuck, I was fine going through it! So first we got the truck out of the mud, then we got the jag out of the mud, then we daisy chained the 3 vehicles together and got out of the woods. Took about 3 hours to get out of there.

Enjoy: (sorry, it was dark out, so the pics aren't the best)

The Jag is hard to see, but it's back there.

LOL!!! NICE!!!! Come on! We need some of that mud. It is TTTOOOOOOO Dry here. I need to test out my winch. You need to get one since your obviously getting more recoveries than I do.

My Dad has a 04 z71. It can go just about anywhere I can, but not everyone drives right. Just needs offroad tires, and a lift.

When looking for my 1st Car I was looking into a 1969 Jaguar. It was sweet. Great price. Excellent shape. The only bad thing, EXTREAM lack of power. And it was a V8. So being a classic and exotic, rebuilding would be expensive.

Would have been a great chick magnet! Instead I bought a 89 Trans Am. Great car! Still a chick magnet too.

On a side note to Brian, Your expertise is needed in the "92 manual transmission post".

Lol, a winch would have helped out soooooooo much. After the axle swap, I'm going to look into getting a winch.
