I can't talk real loud..... I still have the seat covers that I bought for my truck sitting on shelf, still in the box, 4 years later....... And I'm from Michigan......
I had a set for about a year and a half, then my nephew recovered the seat. So I still have the seat covers sitting to the side.
I think that was three years ago; but it's somewhere in the forum here where I posted pics of it. Or on Facebook. Or both.

This is the Powerbuilt Kit 46 I have on loan from Advanced Auto. Truthfully, it is the best Press Kit I've seen any of these parts stores have and I think I looked at all of them. Plenty of sizes. Even has the 2-9/64" ball joint socket (and a 1-59/64ths). Who the hell comes up with these sizes?

A lot of these were picked during the era of 3 martini lunches and the start of "nose candy" sessions.

'Nuff said.

The guy who designed Kit 46 was drinking martinis too. The receiver pieces are too long (or the clamp throat is too short). By about 1/4”. Tried everything. No go. Gonna run to Home Depot and find a pipe or sumpin I can McGyver. The rest of it going as well as can be expected.
Seen this on a few old Dodge truck n van videos. Pieces just too long. Cant get clamp jaws around the ball joint with receiver pieces.
Well, last night as I was swapping the starter (which is a blast when you're a fatboi with short arms ... NOT!) I discovered where my 1/4" of play is.
The rack ITSELF is leaking and has some play in it.
I can't bitch; if my memory is right, I've got well over 160,000 miles on it.
And yes, I've already replaced the inner tie rods on it (about 45,000 miles ago.)
So I'll be doing another RackDoctor.NET rack in the truck. Can't argue with success! But ... not this weekend. I'll be putting funds aside so I can do the R&P and both outer tie rod ends. And two new poly bushings. And considering a new power steering pump and new hoses, since I'll have that system open while replacing the rack.

Looks like I’m not the only one doing front end work.
Ralph, how hard is it to cut one of them ball studs? Would an angle grinder with a cut off wheel do it? Or a sawzall with carbide blade?
