ok but everytime i redline it seems like it loses power.. cuz ive always heard after a certain rpms your not doing anything and i didnt want to get my **** kicked to bad so i wanted to play it safe
but even if i did redline it.. i dont think that would of made a differance...

its hard to say josh... you thought you were going to get spanked... with that small of a difference its purely driver adjustment... if you wold have launched better and shifted the same way in either race you would have had him... and it may not seem like your making power but what your going for is for when you shift to second its still in the power band....
Do me a favor... go over to busters and check the timing and make sure that the exhuast cam isent like a half to a full tooth off... sounds like the overlap is a bit small... that there would be enuf to steal a few hp... With this set-up you should check the timing about 300 miles or so after install... have buster help you since its a touchy thing and 2 sets of eyes are better then one...
and the nice thing is that the 2.4 is non-inerferance so if the timing belt does go it wont smash the **** out of the valves... but just check it for me... it could be causing a power loss...

yeah i have a tendonsy to do that...
its hard to explain... josh...
By staying in gear longer when you shift your rpms will be higher in the power band meaning it will be making more power and wont take as long to get going... If you shift early the rpms will be lower and you will have to stay in the gear longer to get it into the power band where its making the most power it can... in the long run it takes the motor longer if the rpms drop to get to peak power...
I realize your not making power all the way up there but its a shorter amount of time your out of the power band then if you shifted earlyer and had to bring the rpms up from a lower rpm...

hmm the links seem to be working for everyone else
so today i redlined it at 6500..? i though with MPP the rev
and i was in second and i seemed to lose power at 6 but i understand the next gears power band thing..
ok just to straighten things out i should take it to the Rev limiter (redline) just making sure there the same thing ...
i think i got shafted if im spitting out at 6500...[>:]
