Any interest here in better mpg mods?
Yes, i can only find Chinese parts, a no name brand, it isn't even listed in the enomy list on Rockauto and will cost me about $ 70,=, so i wil order the OEM one by Rockauto, it's a lot cheaper versus dealer prices over here, and you still be waiting 4 to 8 weeks before you get the parts.
They know you can't get parts, so they let you pay for them.

Okay, i will look into that, Delphi isn't available at Rockauto, and that's the only reliable store to order parts to Europe.... as far as i know.
They ship and are pretty fast as well.
They do have the Standard Motor Products brand wich Steve wanted to try IIRC.
Because i don't have complaints on my mpg's or performance i think i will wait a bit and see how they will do when Steve is going this route.
I do think i still have the OEM Map sensor, so i'm gonna measure the signal voltage to see if it's out of specs, i think with 21 years and 120 kmiles there will be some improvement by changing the Map sensor.

I couldn't find OEM ones on Ebay or Amazon, looked in the USA and Germany, this is a neighbor ?? country, a lot bigger and they have some USA parts stores.
The one i need is difficult to come by i guess, there are like 7 different makes for a 2000 listed at Rockauto, but no Delphi.
We'll see, hope you get good results with it, things i've read look promising.
So, the Start/Stop wil be you're next mod.
Luckily i rarely get stuck in traffic jams, because of my work hours, occasionally when driving home it might slow down to 40 mph for a couple of miles were 2 highways come together, max speed is 60 mph during day time.

decision point ... airaid tube is here, new sensors here friday, install airaid or wait till after the map eval and run tank or two...?
my gut says install map alone, eval performance and then go add the rest. here is what i am thinking... if there is any degredation (sp?) in sensor performance then i should see a performance change guys in that linked thread, most said they felt it right away, 1 or 2 said no change iirc. i am off all next week so it would be over a week before i have 3 trips to work to compare by...
thoughts?

moot point in install... had it apart for fuel rail & did a test fit. took way too long to get the coupler on then the coupler would not fit the throttle body. and... the airbox coupler would not fit the intake tube
the only way to get it to work would be to grind down the throttle body end for a better fit on the throttle coupler and a different coupler for the airbox

Could you send it back ? and find one that's a direct fit ? or make something yourself ?
I would start with the Map sensor anyway, just as you stated above, the pain in measuring is when you do 2 or more mods the same time, it's hard to tell wich one performance the best...or in worst case, doesn't perform at all.....

yeah can send it back. But... it occurred to me that I might be able to get a coupler to fit the throttle body out of the shed (yeah I probably have one)... then would just need one for the airbox if I cant get the one that came with it on there. I admit, I did not spend more than a minute on that coupler since the first one did not fit.
So as mentioned... I'm on vacation this week which means I have no time to work on it... have the todo list to get done ahead of anything else. One of which is the steering knuckle fix for the brakes. If I can get that done and it holds, then fix all the brakes with whats on there. If not then I can swap over to newer brakes from the 03 & up. I went to the pick & pull yesterday, (no 2wd Durangos) and they had a couple of brake options which should be pretty cheap. (get the steering knuckle and brake lines then buy the new calipers, rotors and pads.)

So first off, enjoy you're holiday.
Might just work out on the Airaide tube, so that's good,to be continued
For sure the brakes should be on the top of the list.
Hope you can get them Helicoiled, or use oversize pins, that would be the cheapest way.
Never mind on the 2wd, i'm glad to hear, you even took the notice to look if they have any, thanks for that.
If you have to get the 03 upgrade, you only need the knuckles, the brake lines should be the same, so i won't take the old ones, specially if you want to buy all new calipers, you be better off buying new brake lines as well, or use the ones you have on there now.
