SRT Exhaust Illegal?

So I bought a stock SRT exhaust (rear section) and slapped it on my SXT. Now without the muffler I'm setting off car alarms and I just feel like a total douche driving through residential areas late at night, lol. Question is, or shall I say, questions are; Is the exhaust this loud on the SRT's? If not, what's the dif? Is it legal on my SXT in CA(technically it's OEM)?

Yeah, I used to have a 2003 SRT...I miss her sometimes.
You are straight-piped and that's what's going on there. Like sarguy01 said, the 2 resonators quiet it down a bit. I had a Borla on mine with 1 resonator and it sounded mean! So technically, to answer your question, yes, you probably are illegal right now. It would depend on your local laws, but most places require a muffler/resonator (some don't enforce it, but it's on the books). In CA, I would say most definitely.
