They've failed to get voter approval for even minuscule gas tax increases for years so that won't really be an issue.

Just got done doing the Napa wheel cylinder upgrade (part #37337). That's the best money I've spent by far on the truck. Pedal is completely solid and stops with little effort now. Wish I would have done this a long time ago.

You mean the GM wheel cylinder upgrade? There's nothing special about the napa parts per se.

Ugh. Fuel pump went out Wednesday. Ordered a new one from rockauto and got it done today. I did the tilt bed method. Everything went well with the swap. Just hand tools and brute force. Always wondered when it would go. I guess 20 years is the ticket.

Which one did you go with? My fuel sending unit went out and im going to replace the pump. I usually use Delphi but they are costly

Delphi. The Bosch was too spendy and took a week to ship whereas the Delphi was available overnight. Did all myself in about 6 hrs.

Default Is it the starter?

I fully thought I was going to buy a new starter today. I turn the key...click, click, click. I replaced a 3 year old battery that needed it, heading in to winter. I turn the key...click, click, click. My grandpa looked at me and said..."It's not the starter". I shook my head. He yells, "just check the connection on the hot wire!" So I do, and...I'ts fixed with some 200 grit sandpaper on the connective surfaces. Path of least resistance...I'll take that home with me tonight

Pulled a stump. I was supposed to change the master cylinder but got busy playing with the kids and then we all decided the stump would be more fun than the brakes. 11 year old boy had a point, it wasnt the brakes we needed to get the stump out.

It must have been the weekend for it.
Well not a stump, but the root network from a ficus tree that came down during hurricane Wilma (2005).
The main root was 18” diameter and extended across the whole yard... had to stop pulling and cut it off as it went under the shed.
14 years and the roots are still green and oozing sap.

Yesterday..... Was too tired when I got home. 280 mile round trip to pick up a mower deck for one of my tractors. Didn't take the freeways, took the more direct, 'scenic' route. About 7 hours and change on the road. Truck handled it exceptionally well. Not a single issue. I probably got the best gas mileage I EVER have on it.... I think I may have hit..... 13mpg.
