It's not that I necessarily need it right now, but I want it. Always been one of my dream trucks except Its not 4x4. I could easily change it to a single rear wheel though later on.
looks like a nice truck, but I would go for a 4x4 + manual trans.
That's just me though...
anywho...
over the weekend I helped my buddy replace the heater core on his 2000 Dakota 4x4 v8
talk about a PITA...even a simple job like replacing a blower motor (30 mins to an hour tops on a ram) is an 8-10hr job on a Dakota because of that goofy hvac box they use...AC, heater core, and blower motor all require a complete dash removal. and not just pulling the dash back a bit...COMPLETE removal!
so here is what a Dakota looks like without the dash! so much more leg room!
and the hvac box that is located behind the dash and bolted to the firewall.
it took us about 12hrs to finish it up as there was plenty of drinking involved, and several people came by that day and BS'ed with us, so it really only took maybe 8hrs of actual work to get it done...the rest was taking breaks.
Have you installed your "new" mirror control switch??
Yes sir I sure did! Works great! Still have to put the door panels back on properly though, just waiting for a day its not raining so I can put some insulation them as well.

Now if Chrylser would just send me my build sheet I could figure out whether I can put power seats in it as well haha
edit: any reason chrysler would take more then a week to send one when they told me they would email me it the next day? might have to do that im in canada...
edit2: speak of the devil it just showed up! nope no power seats guess if I want those ill have to wire my own...
