slowly but surely making my new to me truck mine, lol.

installed new taillights, sold the fiberglass bed cover (IMO, me having a truck needs full access to the bed, lol). just need to work on stopping the rust on the doors (POR-15), and installing the new steering wheel & front grille.

i was very lucky that the seller worked with me & gave me some money back due to the trans problems. so eventually i will have a call out to PATC for a new trans.

i did some measuring under my 81 and it appears i need about 146" of fuel line to go from the fuel tank to the fuel pump. i also need to run a new return line since it is not in much better shape. the only big thing i got to decide on is what size of fuel line i should use. i think i might use 3/8" for the main fuel line but not sure if i should use 1/4" or 5/16" for the return line.

Replace them with the factory size tubing, I see no benefit making them bigger.

Spent all day prepping my interior for Raptor lining. Will post pics when done.

Also, seems threads are on-topic, Dodge Dude must be sleeping.

Over the last week or two she has been upset on cold startups, lack'n some power, smelling fat/rich at times. So opened the hood pulled the plugs to see what they could tell me only to find the pass side tips 90% gone. The drivers is not as bad, I installed the org Bosch super spark-plugs I still have until the parts store gets the new Bosch super plus plugs in stock. I might have a lean condition going on that side of the motor as the exhaust pipe for that side is discoloured more than the drivers side, time for me to get a dual 02 wideband gauge. These plugs were NGK installed last winter low time on them.

i decided to go with the 5/16" return line. no real benefit other than i have the tubing already sitting around and the amount of fuel returned is decided by the filter.

i also got the fuel line kind of installed and bent. almost ready to hook up. just have to remove the old fuel lines so that the new fuel line can slide forward more to where it should be. the old lines are in bad shape.
