also finished up my tailgate. removed the old hinges, and cleaned up rust and other imperfections on the tailgate. then i prepped, and painted the new hinges, that i bought of 2x1972. got it all put back together.

aside from the linkage needing some lubrication, it works like a brand new tailgate!!

THANK YOU 2x1972!!!!

^^^ But I didn't make any profit, you paid to have them shipped to you. So you paid UPS, not me.

Inspections are stupid. I am ripping my inspection sticker off my truck the second I leave this place, even though I will leave it LA registered until the tags expire before registering in WA.

its the only thing i hate. if we just did the obd part of the inspection, and not the safety, id be happy. but things like rust can fail you vehicle if its bad enough.

kinda glad i have a neighbor that owns a service station that does inspections. he lets things slide, that would normally fail for someone else.

like my doors for instance, hahahahaha i need to get new panels welded on ASAP! lol

In Washington we just have emissions testing. And it's a 25 year rolling test. So anything older than '87 is exempt, next year it will be older than '88, etc...

they use to do that in Ontario but stopped at 88 so anything 88 and new requires you to do emission testing on but there is ways around that. stick a motor in it that was not an option from the factory and it can go through emissions as a hotrod which is pretty much impossible to fail.

In Georgia there's no inspections or county/city stickers, and in Virginia, they have BOTH. Sucks ***......
