oh jeebus...filter recharges

those filters are worthless on diesels.... the turbos suck all the oil right out of them and that oil gunks up the compressor blades then the filter lets all the dirt through.

We have to use dry filters on diesels just because of that.

Good thing we don't have diesels then

LMAO.

IMO most of those filters aren't really worth the hype even on a gasser.

I just run high quality FRAM extragard filters. Big difference from the MicroGard junk.

In other news, I did some major cleaning on the caravan (I know, not a RAM, but a Dodge).

It's cleaning up nicely, but 6 years without a thorough cleaning leaves a lot of dust in it.

I'll post pics later.

Replacing the heater core in my truck, and now the evaporator core as well.

so the broken AC line is ordered as well as a new HVAC box drain seal as the old one is shot.

pulled the hvac box apart and found a nasty rats nest...explains the musty smell from the vents, as well as why my vents never really blew very hard...

I'll let the pics tell the story...

look at that! 13 year old original dash...flawless! not even trying to crack or showing any signs of even thinking about cracking!

ac line broke so I disconnected the lines and yanked the whole damn box out.

Since I have to wait several days for a new A/C line, and since I have the thing out...figured I might as well take a look at the evap cores condition while I had this thing out...glad I did..

13+ years of dirt, gunk, pine needles, and one of the many mouse nests I've cleared out of the damn hvac box.

This heater/AC is gonna work real good after I'm through with it So glad I have a backup vehicle to fetch parts with and allow me to take my time with the Ram.

Get one of these... http://www.genosgarage.com/CAB-FRESH.../CFF-DG-0610K/

Today I wired up the third brake light in my truck cap and added a battery powerd LED dome light inside the cap. Noticed some tire scuffs from parking near curbs so busted out the tire shine and cleaned her up.

I'd also like to add today was the first day I drove around after replacing my injectors. Definatly noticed a better throttle responce.

Photobucket or Flickr probably make a iPhone app. You upload them using the app on your phone, then you log into PB or Flickr on your computer and just copy and paste the links here into DF

Picked up a used engine and trans. Engine will go in to truck to replace my current 7 cylinder. trans is a rebuildable core. 46RE this time, not RH......

Anyone need a rebuildable RH?
