What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
Went to see why my truck outright refuses to idle. I had replaced the IAC last year at some point, for the same issue..... So, unplugged it, turned the key on, backprobed the wires. Two had power, two did not. (which is the way it is supposed to be) Swapped in a 'spare' IAC I had laying about, (disconnected battery for that exercise) put it all back together, reached in, bumped the key, engine started and settled down to its usual 700 RPM idle. YEAH!
replaced the passenger front hub bearing tonight. got done just in time... just barely beat out a thunderstorm.
only takes me 20~ minutes to change out a bearing... fun times!
now i gotta replace the tank straps, put a cat on the jegs off road y pipe, and put a different muffler on it. also need to finish the body work. should pass inspection after that!

Went and looked at some rims and a cowl hood today (pricey). For the hood I think I'll peak in the LMC catalogue. K. Not sure why, but recieved a second LMC catalog in the mail (timely).
Edit: Ran the 99 diesel in for a replacement solenoid/auto trans. and dropped it off (8/05). He's going to put it on the machine, but it's the second time I've toasted this one.
Edit2A: Still await word on the 99. Mileage on 98 running 89 Octane city 11.4 mpg's. Now the truck for sale, running 13.6 mpg's city. Fixed the 99 diesel, bad wiring on TPS feed to PCM. Now putting in two high amp batteries on the 99.

There is one around here for sale for 3500..... but, needs 'engine work'. I interpreted that to mean "needs an engine".... Still and all, even tossing a motor at it, it would still be worth more than I would have invested... Just don't have the scratch to buy it, and a motor. Otherwise, I would be stylin' an 03 four door 3/4 ton.
