Yeah the inserts look good. I changed the oil today after the plenum job of last week. Used the motorcraft FL1A filter. I would have never thought of using it 'til I read a thread on this site. This site has been extremely helpful in the short time I been on it. I been driving the Dodge since '01, wished I would have joined sooner.

Installed some new 6x9 in the doors and tried to replace my window regulator. However it appears RockAuto sent me the wrong one.... Grrrrrrr

Speakers sound great though.

Don't really wanna go that way either.

I stay away from the obviously dangerous stuff. I don't do water crossings where I am not REAL familiar with the terrain.... I have lived in this area since 1965 though, so, I could probably drive most of it in my sleep.

I also don't do water crossings over anything larger than what is normally considered a 'creek' here. Some of the rivers can move a pretty good amount of water, and over the weekend, we have several bridges over them that have been washed out. They are just.... Gone. THAT type of thing I stay FAR away from. If I can't SEE the bridge deck, I am forced to assume that it isn't there anymore. In quite a few cases this weekend, that was, unfortunately, very true. I like to play, too old to do much of the 'live dangerously' thing any more.

That said..... I was a bit surprised when the water started thinking seriously about pushing around my 6000 pound truck.

I got a rebuilt transmission from Trans Depot. I got their "stage 1 " rebuild. My install guy kinked the cooler line so now i'm replacing that. His charge was 350. I would have done it myself but i'm alone and not confident i could do it by myself. I put new radiator in because of tranny fluid in the old one.I live near Rockmart Ga and i'm new here. I need strap for fuel tank and emergency brake cable and alot of minor things but my Ram is strong and i like it. I'll let you know how this tranny works out.

Motor will be going into its new home next spring... maybe sooner if the wife goes back to work sooner!

2wd single cab short bed dakota nv3500 will hold up fine behind my motor. Turns out the dakota guys do it all the time!
