Also, noticed you have tow hooks and skid plates on your truck. Is that on your 1997? Were they factory?

I've got Tow Hooks for my 1997, and it has a skid plate by the transfer case. What other skid plates are on yours?

Yes they are I have the equipment list showing the skids, I'll look where they are & hooks were available, just for fun I'd like to add the factory remote keyless but might never get done

 

Tried to fix previous owner crap, found live wires left hanging under my dash, traced them back and seems like they were at one time attached to a trailer brake setup, lots of shotty looking wiring so I don't trust it, found out that the overhead light actually does have a bulb in it, still have to figure out why it's out, checked all fuses, seems I'm missing a diode possibly in driver side dash fuse panel, found a connector under the dash not connected to anything, found a connector under the hood that looks like it goes to a good light set up, not connected to any thing, found out I only have one rear shock, found out my spare is bald, found out I don't have any kind of license plate lights, removed the step bars, but can't get the brackets off even used heat, found 50 cent and a pair of brass knuckles behind the back seat, poor truck is a mess looks as If the previous owner bought it from a junk yard

 

When I got this truck I went to the local Dodge parts dept, brought in my tin tag from the header behind the grille. They printed an equipment sheet from STAR NETWORK- Vehicle information report, which gives a great idea of my trucks equp. I've added clearance lgts, vinyl floor & a CD. Both the brochure & print out both say just skid plate transfer case. I know they're factory hooks but not listed on the print out. MY truck actually has HD service grp(inc trans cooler), Travel convenience( comp/temp etc, Trailer tow pkg & Lgt grp. No where in the brochure are hooks mentioned but I have seen them in other years. Seldom do you see hooks on a truck, but I did buy an extra set I found when junk yarding a year ago.

 

Huh, and I thought hooks were only available on ORE trucks in 2000-2001...

 

They only came standard on the ORE trucks. They were an option for everyone else.

I got mine from a guy selling his ORE truck. I offered him a little cash and took them off...

 

My truck's print out states PA state code out you way, the truck had a MD sticker on it. Probably the reson there is very little rust unlike my other MN truck. I looked through my brochure collection I was sure I saw a pic earlier on hooks but I couldn't find it. I see the OFF Road Pkg included hooks in 2001

 

I put oil and washer fluid in it. Than drove it.
