cleaned air idle control again
what a temperamental pain in the throttle body, but it seems to work when I have idle issues
I think that whatever they have changed in the fuel really gums things up.
Today I changed the APP (TPS for normal people). 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L Diesel was bucking terribly at all speeds. Started out as a gradual bucking but over two week period it became non-drive-able. I was afraid it was the Fuel Injection pump or Lift pump but started out with the lease expensive item. Once replaced, calibrated and compute reset, the bucking stopped. Was a quick and simple fix that took about 30 minutes. Before you take it to a shop and they say it is the fuel injection pump, try replacing the Throttle Position Sensor also call the (APP).
This is an on going thread.
All you have to do is post what you did to your Ram everyday
and if you did a seperate thread, post a link to it.
Have fun. [sm=smiley20.gif]
What’s up! This is Anthony here. I’m new here and am constantly working on my truck so I will be posting everyday. Also, I’m very mechanically inclined so if y’all have any issues you need help with feel free to hmu.
Finally we had a nice day in Mass so I got some nice one piece headlights with LED bars in, dash cover on, after market radio in, new tweeters and system wires ran. It got dark quick so I couldn’t finish my system install but all that’s left on that is plug, tune and play.
I recently bought calipers, rotors, o2 sensors, chrome exterior door handles, and a heater resistor. It’s rained or snowed here for the last 2 weeks and just been waiting to get her done.
Started replacing the tow mirrors. The heat on both sides quit quite a while ago and the pass side glass motor got lazy. Replacing with 4th gen style with running/turn lights.
