On another note, i searched for a timing set for the ram today. I figured i might as well take the extra hour to replace it when i do the head. I also still need to get some head bolts, intake bolts, and gasket set. I know the intake bolts were actually reasonably priced at the dealer, what about the head bolts? I assuming that the factory ones are TTY for the head. Am i wrong? I have decided to buy a whole engine gasket kit from felpro.
P4876772 Intake Manifold Attaching Bolts (5.2L/5.9L Truck Magnum/Jeep Engine $7.75 (for the set)
P5007709 TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER $31.95
P5249267 Double Roller Chain and Sprocket Set $62.50

I also always replace head bolts. Some are TTY, and some are not. Just habit with me. There are places to cut costs, and places to NOT cut costs.
I have bought parts such as timing set form www.mopartsracing.com . Excellent customer service from those folks!

Awesome day out
Started to take over the guest house yard the other day, took the fence down and all the posts out of the ground. They were so rotted it's crazy.
Some time after druggie moved in he tilled up the entire yard, and it's been quite some time since then and there is almost no grass anywhere, it's mostly just dirt covered by leaves...
Got a good bit accomplished today, all the debris out of the yard, weedeated all the crap, started some flower planting.
Can't find the grass seed so I gotta pick some up...
It's a small step towards reclaiming this property, but ya gotta start somewhere

i drove my dads 95 ford f150 with the 4.9L and 5 speed to work and back and i got to say it get pretty good gas mileage compared to any of my trucks. left for work with 3/4 of a tank of and by the time i got back there was about 5/8 of a tank left. i put $20 of gas in it before i drop the truck off because that is approximately what i figure my ramcharger normally uses to do the run and it brought the gas gauge up to 7/8 of tank. i know my dad has gave me gas receipts and numbers in past and i have calculate that it got 21mpg on a couple occasion but i always thought my old mans numbers might have been a bit off until today.

It was on the news the other day but some Florida Lawmakers want the Government to look into why Jay-Z and Beyonce are/were in Cuba...
WTF!!!
Who cares??
Aren't there more important things the government and lawmakers should be doing?
**** like this is what's wrong with this country.

I picked up a '92 ford ranger the other day with a known slipping transmission, when I showed up to pick it up it wouldn't start, so I bought it for $300. After a full tune up she purrs like a kitten. I also replaced the belt, tensioner, and fuel pump out. I am now into it for $530 and wi be having the transmission rebuilt on Monday. When its all said and done ill have $1300 into it and hope to sell it for $2000 so I can put half of that back and the other half into my ram. That durn furd had the original plugs, wires, cap and rotor on it still, lol. When the seller asked me how i got it running and I told him he says "you can replace that stuff?" LOL
Say who's the Chevy addict here? (No I didn't PS it either).
