1997 Ram 1500 Sport 5.2 Manual 5 spd and 3.92 gears 4x4...magnaflow exhaust only "mod". Last I checked it got 14 mpg, after that I was pretty hard on it and it got 12.5 and on this tank I have pretty much grannied it around and have about 190+ miles on half a tank, all city driving, so I will see what it gets.
*UPDATE* Filled up today and got 15 mpg, this was city and getting on it occasionally

I have owned my truck for about 3 months now and have put 4100 miles on it. With mixed driving and no correction for larger tires 285 vs. 245 (stock), I am getting 12.35 mpg. I just got my muffler put on which should show an increase, but I haven't had it long enough to burn the tank yet. I am also planning on purchasing K&N FIPK for it as well as Taylor "409" Race Wires (have a set on my car and it made a world of difference). When I get the chance, I am going to get a Hypertech programmer and adjust my tire size.
I went on a bit of a road trip this weekend and frankly, I'm a bit disappointed, and kinda pissed off.
On the way up I was hualling a heavy as hell mid 60's vintage snowmobile in the bed, so I knew that would kinda kill my MPG. The trip consists of about 100 miles on the expressway, and about 230 on 2 lane highways. On the expressway I was going about 65 because it was kinda snowy, and on the 2 lane highways about 65 as well.
So with the sled in back I went through a full tank of gas in only about 284 miles... That comes out to 10.92 MPG. Ouch that hurts, but I figured on the way back with out that sled it'd be alot better.
Well on the way back, something thing, about 65 the whole way (95% of it at least) with cruise on. Only 310 miles out of a full tank, coming out to 11.92 MPG.
Now it was about 20 degrees out both trips, and like I said 95% of it was 65 mph with cruise on. Something is seriously wrong if I'm only get 12 mpg highway with a 5.2..........
