End of the line...
headed to work yesterday, and a lovely female driver decided to SLAM on her brakes so that she coul pull into a parking lot to turn around.
her brand new volvo with four wheel disc brakes was no match for chrysle'rs sorry excuse of a braking system. i slammed on the brakes and the wheels immediately broke loose. i opted to hit the ditch instead of parking in her back seat.
45 mph into a HUGE farming irrigation ditch, and things arent pretty. the front axle was positioned with the passenger side tire underneath of the door. the control arms and frame mounts are bent all to hell. the coil springs came out of their perches, gear oil is leaking from where the axle tubes connect to the differential, one rim is busted, the tie rods and gear box are TOAST, none of the body panels line up anymore and i can fit my arm in between the cab and bed (needless to say the frame is twisted)
ill be selling the 408, tires/wheels, transmission, audio system
not sure what to buy... thinking of a car though, any ideas? something quick with good mpg's

i could provide receipts in excess of $6k... wow first time if totaled it all up!
one of my rims is bent, could it be fixed? hoping the tire is okay... just spent $1400 on the set of nitto terra grapplers (they probably have about 300 miles on them )

There is a company that straightens rims.... (actually, there are a bunch.... depends on how bad its bent.
Did you have full coverage on the truck? (please say yes.....)
Start at 8K for the engine, if someone offers you more than you have invested, take it. If not, look for another second gen truck.
