Ram Body work
OK! Making a little progress.....
Seat bottom arrived today. Out of town for work, so got in too late to do much...but it is here and looks great!

My sterring wheel is suffering from separation anxiety. The leather wrap is samaged and is separating from the wheel. I need to find another one to use for a pattern and see if I can rewrap and stitch new cover on. My see if I can snag one at JY. VW posted a lnk to a guy in Dallas that does these, but best I remember, he wants over $250 I believe.....way too much!

So after three days out of town for work, got the seat installed. Looks and feels great. I can sit without leaning, and no more unsightly tears!
Just gotta figure out what to do with droopy gauge pod on A Pillar. Too hot to do much work outside in garage, but finished cleaning it out and removing all non automitive stuff (OK - except fishihg stuff). Loaded Ram bed back up with trash again......gotta flatten boxes and cut up to throw away.
Built form for concrete pad for new air compressor and started running conduit for 240 volt power to garage. Once I get compressor up and running I can get back to shooting the last coat of clear on hood and roof and get this finished up, and finish painting new front bumper. And now the chrome bumper on the rear looks like it has to go away as well......

Poured pad for compressor today and installed breaker panel and wired from panel to switch for compressor. Now have to dig about 40' trench to bury conduit form house to garage but can't rent trencher until Thursday or Friday. Tired of this crud...want to get back to working on Ram and finish it up! New bumper STILL needs paint and stripe done to it, hood and roof need another coat of clear.
TODAY.....Got air compressor up and running, so I can get back to paint work! ( still have to dig trench and bury conduit so last sections are laying on ground until I can get a trencher!)
So garage is now organized, all tools are accessible, and there is more room!
Woohoo! (if only it wasn't over 100 degrees outside......)

Well after cleaning out garage and organizing tools and equipment, and installing new air compressor (held 120 psi without leaking anything for three days), I am finally getting back to working on my Ram.
2K primer and then etching primer/sealer:

And of course to make working on Ram a little easier…OK….a little more enjoyable, I installed the last bit of “shop equipment!”

Will probably reinstall grill on Ram tomorrow and mask the stripe on the bumper trim, remove existing bumper and place trim on new bumper to mask the new bumper to paint stripe.
And I was digging around out back (huge field out back) I discovered these things buried out back. Anyone know what the wooden thing is? Just wondering. Let me know if you have any ideas.
