One step forward....and two steps back.

Was able to figure out a way to remove hood single handed so I did not have to mask truck to spray clear...or do the sanding and spraying from a step ladder.

But while sanding with 600 g, ended up burning through clear on stripe.....so had to repaint stripe. Maybe clear tomorrow. Hope to get it done so I can get hood and bumper reinstalled tomorrow so I may de\rive it to Austin on Thursday....

May slip off from work early tomorrow (if I can get budget paperwork done) and dash home to sand and buff hood to reinstall, and if so, will drive it to Austin tomorrow afternoon!

Not trying to be a turd or anything BUT! You should have painted the bumper pad on top black, before you put the stripe on it.

It would have looked so much better.
Good work though, I am surprised to painted the bottom valance. Not many do.

I have to agree with Dodge Dude, it would look better if you matched the bumper pad.....

I tested paint on the top pad (old one I took off).....scrtatches too easy. My a** is too close to the driveway, and I need to step up on it sometimes. I am considering spraying it with bedliner when I do the bed.

Plan to put hood and grill in this afternoon and reinstall tailggate, fill with gas, and take ont he road. Plan to do bedliner this weekend. Darn it's good having a big enough compressor!

Now that you mention it, didn't you already tell us that before? Seems I have vague memories of something to that nature....

Anyway, it looks SWEET!.

Gonna give us a quick picture after it's all put together before you head out?

Here it is...the pick of front - that is not a chip off the paoint on bumper trim. Gave me a coronay. It was water from topping off radiator and washing under hood!

Have a slight stripe alignment issue on trim, but it is fixabel....Saturday...
