But he doesn't have access to garage (afraid he will get hurt) so I will be loading it up. I still let him have a beer occasionally - hell, he's 83, and as long as it is only one or two in a month, I don;t think it will hurt him. He used to be a very heavy drinker, but I feel that if you are 83 you deserve a cold beer once in a while!

Masked bumper trim in place today and removed old bumper. Now to transfer to new bumper to get ready to paint.....hope paint does not dry inside spray gun...hotter than blazes today!

You may be right. There is NO WAY I would hold that huge spike with someone else pounding on it! It is about as thick as it is wide. I'll just stick it all in a box for the storage building with some other antique tools I have accumulated over the years.

After having to return the bent new bumper and waiting on replacement and then installing new air compressor after mine went out on me, running 240v to the garage, and cleaning out the garage, I am just now getting back to it! Still have to shoot more clear on hood and roof adn do bed liner, but we have AIR!

Took a bit to lay out stripes and transfer to bumper (hope it lines up) and mask. Ran out of reducer so I have to get more before I spray the base on the bumper. Then I'll have d=t deccide if I am going to make a change on rear bumper....the only chrome left on the truck...

If the front is black, the rear should be also. It will look much better.

(and don't forget the stripe......)

Very little experience painting over chrome..... but, none of my efforts have been what I would consider successful...... How much would you want for the chrome bumper, shipped to 49221. (my rear bumper is pretty much non-existent.... and yes, my front bumper is black...... but, anything would be better than what's on there now.)

I think I am going to attempt to straighten the two dings in rear bumper and sand chrome and attempt to repaint. Shipping alone would nearly be prohibitive...

Found several on 3-bay from $121 for black with about $34 shipping, to $800 (did not EVEN look at shipping) for chrome. Avveraged around $300.

So I got front bumper painted today and will attempt to shoot clear tomorrow.
