Wheeling a fullsize
Nope. That would have been more $$, harder to bend clean, and other welding skills needed. It does have the advantage of just keeping it bare to the elements though.
This thing is going to get painted with a base and the kids will decorate like the rest of my protection OR it will be spray bedlined. Still debating.
Got my LED lights and liquid storage in yesterday....

Lately I've been thinking and talking to the girlfriend about buying a jeep rubicon 2 door and keep my truck off the trails. She's somewhat okay with it.. I could buy an older tj for half the price but then by time you add lockers, winch, lift, etc I would be sitting at the same price I could buy a lifted rubicon with D44's for. It's a tough decision. I've been spending a lot more time with my friend who has a rubicon 4 door and the more I ride with him the more I want a jeep. I would hate to try and follow him with my ram. I wouldnt have a decent body afterwards that's for sure.
Thornloe,
If you're thinking about getting a Jeep why not find a TJ Rubicon model? Gives you almost all the same stuff that the JK has but for cheaper. Unless you're wanting the larger sized JK. I haven't looked at Jeeps for a while now but I don't think you could get a 2 door JK for that cheap. You can find a used 6cylinder TJ for under $10,000.
So let's start with a $10,000 TJ.
$10,000- TJ
$4,000- Lift Kit 4-6"
$2,600- G2 Rear axle w/ARB and gears & 33 spline shafts
$3,050- G2 Front axle w/ARB and gears
$3,000- 35-37" Tires & Wheels
-------------------
$22,650 is what I came up with and I don't think you can get a JK for that cheap if you're buying a Rubicon version. For $2,500 more you can have an Atlas transfer case too. So now you're at $25,000.
If you want a built TJ with a V-8 and heavy duty axles and ton of other mods I'll sell you my Jeep for $22,500 and that is a steal with everything it has on it. Look in my engine build thread there are pictures of it in there.

Why are you selling your jeep?

Yeah Thorloe, considering your driving habits as evidenced by the sig picture, you might drive a Jeep better.
Wildman -- Wat chu tawkin bawt Willis?!?!?!?
This past saturday. Did some of the same route as earlier in the month. It had a little more snow and we did some target shooting. Great day. Upon airing up it was really starting to snow.
