so im having second thoughts... installed the oil pump yesterday. but i also used the gasket that ccame with the mopar performance gasket set. should i have used a gasket? i didnt on my 318. kinda wondering about that.

The gasket sure won't hurt anything. It's just thin paper..... I used the gasket that came with my new pump. Works fine.

thank you! was worried it would break up, and end up going thru my motor.

If part of gasket hangs out, I would probably trim it off if you are worried about pieces. If not, should not be an issue.

Did you prime that oil pump before you installed it?

flexplate, and remflex header gaskets came today!

last few things are arriving tomorrow, and the very last thing is going thru customs right now(hids).

snap on scanner, hid's, and ball joint press arrived today!

every manual i would have needed was included with the scanner! just need to figure out what edition the troubleshooter manual is. gotta get the newest one for my year truck.

Do you know how to set the fuel sync? DrewA made a good post on how it's to be done right. Remflex gaskets eh, one shot deal so lets hope you never have to remove them, I would have advised you to use Gibson's header gaskets, I have now re-used mine 4 times and they still seal great. You got a great selection of tools for these trucks happen there bud good for you, no more payed for shop time. What make ball joint press did you get?
