That's what I've been trying but I can't get a grip on the cap

Ok got it out with a screwdriver!

Tips on axle u joints? I'm having trouble getting those half moon snap rings off the bottom

Try a pipe wrench, or a bench vise to grab/twist the cap with.

Move the opening in the snap ring to where you can get at it. Stick a flat blade screwdriver in there, and rap on it with a hammer to get it to pop out. And they DO pop.... so, be careful.

They are just so stuck I can't move them to where I can get to them. I've got one off! Haha

Cleanup and keep those old snap rings. There's always a chance of losing one when changing U- joints. I've got a bunch of them laying around just in case.

We'll got half of the snap rings off. And got the shafts separated. But still haven't got the rings of the the snub shafts. Such a pain.

After I finish the u joints all that's left is to reassemble everything! Then go get an alignment!

Got a the u joints done. Those c clips fought to the bitter end.

Truck could be driving tomorrow! Just gotta rent/find/buy a half inch drive torque wrench and I'll be all set!
