Default Stalling, Low RPM, Idle problem.

Hey all. I own a 94 dodge ram, and about 1 month ago she's developed an idle problem. Only when I come to a stop, does the RPM's slam down to 0, and then bounce from 0-1 and then she'll choke out and die. I've replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotar, PCV, EGR, ICV, catalytic converter, and my fuel pump. I still have problems. I brought it to my local dodge dealer, to find out it was a defective fuel pump. Today it was replaced, and instaled no charge. Though, the problem is still in play, unfortunetally. What are your thoughts on this sittuation? It's a 1994 dodge ram, 1500. 5.2 with a manual transmission. 77k miles.

My dad's a mechanic, but he deals with older vehicles. Not up to par with all the fuel injection, and electronics of the newer stuff. I've learned from him, and am learning as I'm going. Basically we're sick of guessing, and have no idea as to what the problem is.

There's no vaccum leak as far as we know, and the batterie seems to be in full working order, as well as the alternator.

Check engine light has never been on, since I've owned it, though the bulb does work!

Send your thoughts my way, because I've got none left!

Thanks in advanced,
Nick

IAC(idle air control), back side of tb probably needs replacing
TPS(throttle position sensor) drivers side of tb may also need to be replaced
Remove tb and clean it with carb clean as well.
Never seen/heard ofa Holley MTS

Check your breather. If its clogged your RPMs will go WAY down. Or if you blocked off the breather tube that connects to the Airbox. THat would do that. Also take a look at your Brake Booster check valve.

Keep the suggestions comming! The truck is still at my local dodge dealer, we brought it in, and basically told them that we dont want it back until it's fixed. So we'll see the outcome, I suppose!

search for the DIY on cleaning the tps... no need to swap it, should be in the DIY thread at the top of the forum. when you swap the IAC, I'd yank off the TB and clean it real good, most likely a cleaning will take care of it, if not then you can swap the IAC valve...

I got a call from the dealership today. They're looking into finding me a computer for it, and they're going to replace it. If it solves the problem, I pay for it. But if not, I dont have to pay for it, and they put the one I already had, back in. I wish I found the forums before I sent it to the dealership! Damn.

No one's ever heard of the Holley MTS, Hmm?

CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU THE INFO ON YOUR TRUCK. BY THE BACK TAILGATE IT LOOKS LIKE YOU PURCHASED THE TRUCK FROM TOPOR DODGE.
