Headed in the right direction
+1 How my father burned his up..Tried to pull a friends truck out of the woods at a steep incline, starved the trans of fluid too long and burnt it up...Never had a problem till that happened.
Neon, here's a link to fixing the TV cable. My advise is to mark the cable with a sharpie right at the base of the metal part of the cable. Move the cable forward 1/8" and you should be much happier.

The white clip with the "T" stamped in it is what keeps the cable from moving. You can remove it by very gently prying up on the tabs and sliding it toward the passenger side fender well. If you break the clip like I did (over-pry on the fastener ends), you can either tape it back tight or use zip ties to hold it in place.

I paid $1200 to have the trans built in my camaro, and the guy didn't skimp on anything. Auto/manual valve body, corvette servos, Raybestos Z pack kevlar clutch disks, kevlar bands, 2200 stall converter, shift kit, 14 vane pump, and tons of other stuff, it only had to go back once too because the TVC valve was stuck open, so it wouldn't kick down and it would shift too early. No it throws you around when it shifts
The same guy rebuilt the tranny in my father's 98 ram for $1500 installed with a shift kit, kevlar bands and clutches, and an external cooler.

Just because it a reman torque converter doesn't mean it isn't Heavy Duty.
You would be surprised how many auto parts claimed as new actually contain 'some'
used or reman parts...
I would be VERY surprised if these Hi-perf trans that are sold by repudable companies are 100% new assemblies.

Reman is not a four letter word when dealing with metal or( MIM
) parts..I work in a plant as a machinst ( Borg-Warner Turbo Systems) and when all the work into dissambly, cleaning, rebalancing and inspecting used turbo parts are done and used to build a reman turbo 99% of that turbo could be new, if one little nut (we don't reuse bolts or nuts just example) is reused then it by LAW is a reman turbo, but the parts are not interchangeable if a ??? turbo part is reused then it is built into a reman ??? turbo.
Today my father and I took the truck out. He basically thinks that the truck isn't terrible, but it is shifting choppy. It's having a hard time getting out of gears and reaches rpms higher than usual before it should shift. There is a lot of manually letting off the gas for it to shift. It's not hugely terrible, but for what we paid for, it's not where it should be either. I feel like there is some kind of bug in this unit. Everytime they fix one problem, something else new comes up. Even just recently after they fixed the transmission from getting out of lockup in overdrive, it started doing this shifting issue. All of the sensor related problems were result of them trying to make the overdrive shift smooth. Something in the unit is wrong, and they just keep dodging it. We're going to request they give us our money back, fix the problem, or start from scratch and put in a new unit. Mark kicked me out yesterday. He said if I wasn't going to pay him he didn't want to see the truck ever again, and he walked out on me. I have a 3 year warranty with them, he doesn't have the right to not take my truck. Nor does he have the right to charge me $430, those were their problems with their transmission. What a joke guys.
Same here fellas. It feels like this was inevitable. There has just been so much tension since day 1 with these guys, and he finally lost his cool yesterday like a little school girl.
I like the Volant. It's hardly noticable when driving around town sounds wise, but sounds very throaty at full throttle. The gains are similar to the airhat with the addition of better power in overdrive with the airscoop. The look is very nice as well. When you open the hood it just looks very well put together and I like that. Course the transmission always seems to be crashing my party. I'm curious how quick this case will move. I'm sure he doesn't expect me to get a lawyer.
